They’re back, baby! The 2021 WSOP has returned to Las Vegas for live play! And as is customary, the event will be held at the Rio Casino. All told, there will be 18 bracelet events, featuring different variations of poker and buy-ins ranging from just $400 all the way to $250,000.
Registration for the tournament will be available beginning in August, and players can do so either online and in person. Play will begin September 30th with the Casino Employees No-Limit Hold’em event, as well as a COVID Relief No-Limit Hold’em Charity Event and a H.O.R.S.E. event.
CBS Sports will be taking over television coverage from ESPN this year, and the Executive Director of the WSOP, Ty Stewart, said that “…the 2021 WSOP will be the real deal and we’re preparing for a full house.”
The showdown everyone is most interested in, however, is the Main Event. That $10,000 buy in No-Limit Hold’em tourney starts November 4th and runs through the 17th. It culminates in the fan favorite “Final Table”, which is scheduled for November 16th and 17th.
