There’s a reason Paris is one of the most popular cities among travelers and tourists around the world. Known as the “City of Light” and the “City of Love,” the streets of Paris overflow with abundant culture, art, beauty, and history.
Whether you’re standing in front of the Eiffel Tower to get a selfie, looking for Monet’s Water Lilies at Musée de l’Orangerie, or embarking up the many steps of Sacré-Cœur, Paris is a wonderful place that steals the hearts of millions of people every year.
It is also well known that the residents and visitors of Paris enjoy their fair share of gambling. Paris happens to be home to some of the nicest and most exciting casinos in the world.
If you’re planning to head out to the City of Light to gamble for real money at some of its world-renowned casinos, such as Club JOA Royale or Club Berri, then hopefully, this list of awesome things to do and experience in Paris will lead you to something that you wouldn’t have thought about otherwise.
Here are four of the best attractions to visit in Paris, France.
1 – Batobus Route
This is an absolute must. During this romantic boat ride on the Seine River, Batobus will take you to nine different significant sites inside the heart of Paris, France.
It knocks off the list some of the real obvious things that you always see people posing in front of during their first trip to Paris. The Eiffel Tower is included in one of the nine stops, so have your selfie stick ready.
During the boat ride, you can hop on or off at any time you’d like. The passes needed for a boat ride come in either a whole day (24 hours), two days, or a whole year. So, if you buy a day pass, you won’t have to sit on the boat for 24 hours straight. You can if you want to, but you could take as much time away from it as you’d like inside your window of riding time.
The Notre Dame Cathedral and the Louvre are two attractions that you’ll get to look forward to seeing and exploring during your ride on Batobus. It is also extremely convenient due to the boat allowing its guests to avoid all of the traffic from tourists and locals.
It truly is one of the most relaxing ways to enjoy Paris.
2 – Disneyland Paris
With all of the hype that Disneyland and Disneyworld get in the United States, that’s probably the last thing on your mind when wanting to go check out the casinos in Paris. Believe it or not, there are things about Disneyland Paris that dramatically set it apart from other Disney Resorts, making it a must for the families or couples that are vacationing in Paris.
What’s so unique about it? A lot of things! To start off, one of my personal favorite rides at Disneyworld is Space Mountain. There’s probably one in the California resort too, but regardless, of all of the Space Mountain rides in the world, the one that’s featured in Disneyland Paris is by far the fastest of them all!
The Space Mountain ride in Paris operates under a type of technology that is used to propel fighter jets. This allows the ride to go from 0 to 46 mph in just barely two seconds!
Another cool thing about this particular Disney resort is the way the Disney haracters are staged in the resort. For instance, there is only one single Mickey Mouse that could be seen on the entire resort property at any given time. This makes it all the more special when you do stumble across your favorite character because you know that this is the only one in the whole resort!
Throughout the whole park, the geniuses at Disneyland Paris have done a remarkable job with the sound system that can be found throughout the whole park. They have gone above and beyond to make the sights and sounds as realistic as possible.
Near the ice cream shop on Main Street, piano lessons can be heard coming from the first floor of a nearby building. The same is true for when you go near the well that sits over in Frontierland. As you get closer, you can hear in detail the miners picking away down in the mines.
The Main Street in Disneyland Paris used a pretty cool trick called forced perspective when designing the architectural layout and design of the resort. When you first walk into the park entrance, the Disney castle seems like it is a pretty good distance away, even though in reality it is only a few hundred feet away.
This is caused by the facades created by the buildings along Mainstreet. The buildings widen as you move down the street, making you feel like things seem a lot farther away than what they really are. The same is true for when you’re leaving the park, except for instead of everything seeming further away, it all seems closer than what it really is.
The last couple of things I’ll note about this unique Disney resort is that they have their own Disney Wildlife Team that is tasked with keeping up with all of the wild animals that live inside of Disneyland Paris.
There are hundreds of wild rabbits living in the park that are caught and released each year. A fox was recently discovered living inside of the Peter Pan ride!
And here’s a cool fact: the stockpile of garments that are used in Disneyland Paris are the largest out of any other resort or performance venue in Europe, with over 250,000 different garments used for the actors of Disneyland Paris.
3 – Bastille Market, The Catacombs, and More
Paris is known for being a fashion-forward city. Although I encourage you to bring your favorite pairs of nice clothes for your evenings at the clubs and casinos, I will say that reliable walking shoes are a must-have if you want to experience Paris’ best activities and attractions without discomfort. If you’re looking for an even better way to see the city, go on a bike tour!
Experience the Bastille Market and browse all the brightly-colored displays and stalls. And let’s not forget that some of the finest little shops are right along the Champs-Elysees. If you’re hoping to learn more about the other side of Paris, one other famed attraction is the Catacombs. This tunnel network holds the remains of millions of people. Plan to spend an hour exploring this labyrinth of cemeteries.
A fun thing to do that will also allow you to get even more out of sight seeing is to sign up for an escape game. You and your partner, friends, or family will have to use your problem-solving skills to escape a themed room. If you’re looking for more history, the Palace of Versailles also makes for a great day trip.
4 – The Moulin Rouge Cabaret Show
One of the most famous and popular experiences that you can’t miss during your stay in Paris is the world-renowned Moulin Rouge Cabaret Show.
The Moulin Rouge show is home to hundreds of incredible dancers and performers. Many flock to Paris just to catch a show. On top of getting to see the French cancan, you will witness some of the most talented acrobats, magicians, and even exotic animals performing.
Because of The Moulin Rouge being a cabaret, you can enjoy a lovely dinner while enjoying the classic and timeless show. You can sip on a glass of bubbly as you dine and experience unforgettable entertainment. When you purchase tickets to see Moulin Rouge, you can also include half a bottle of champagne with your ticket order. But as the night draws on, you can certainly count on more coming your way if you decide to stay a while.
This Just Scratches the Surface
There are many other tours that you can take via boat, bicycle, or by foot that will make sure that you don’t miss some of the finest details of the city during your gambling trip.
If you’re wanting to take a trip to Paris that is exclusively for gambling, please make sure that you give yourself at least a couple of extra days for exploring the fascinating and romantic sites of the city.
Another cool part about choosing Paris for your next casino trip is how cheap it is to travel to neighboring countries once you’re inside Paris.
Flights to London, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Barcelona can easily be found for around $50, and there are plenty of budget-friendly bus options that move through the City of Lights as well.
If you’ve gambled in Paris and spent extra time there taking in all of the abundant sites, please tell me about your experience and what stood out to you the most while you were there down in the comment section below!
