The last chance stage is all wrapped up; heck, even the first quarterfinal match has been done and dealt with. We’re left with just six more matches remaining in the event, prompting a quick response from CSGO betting enthusiasts all across the globe!
The remainder of the quarterfinals are scheduled for tomorrow. The list includes the following matchups:
- pro vs. NiP
- Fnatic vs. Cloud9
- OG vs. Heroic
We’re focusing on the first one, Virtus.pro vs. NiP predictions are what we’re here for. The winner of this matchup goes up against Mousesports in the semifinals, in what’s bound to be a chaotic contest! The other end of the bracket looks packed too, with teams like Fnatic and Heroic hoping to plow their way through to the semifinals.
Virtus.pro vs. NiP Betting Predictions
Virtus.pro is the heavy favorite coming into this one. It’s not just because they’ve won the opening-round match against NiP last week, but because they’re generally a more versatile team, possessing superior map pool and roster depth.
Betting on CSGO – Is It Just Another Trend?
I’d like to say it’s quite the contrary; CSGO betting is far from a trend! It has become a key part of the online betting pallet and judging by the numbers it brings forth year in and year out, it’s definitely here to stay.
On the other hand, betting on other (read smaller) esports might be a trend after all… though the rapidly growing esports industry is still too volatile for us to predict any long-term stuff. Esports franchises come and go; what’s popular today might not even exist a year from now. That’s the life of the esports industry…
Where to Bet on CSGO?
Where exactly can you place wagers on CGSO matches such as this one? Believe it or not, you can do so virtually anywhere. You don’t even need to leave your home, which is great in these covid restriction times. All you need to do is find an online bookmaker, register for an account, deposit some money and you’re basically good to go.
The thing is, not all online bookmakers offer betting on esports. Those that do might not exactly be the ideal solutions either. You’ll have to look far and wide to find a suitable bookie, and that’s the cold hard fact all newcomers have to go through when entering the vast waters of esports betting.
Expectations
Let’s get back to Virtus.pro vs. NiP betting predictions! As stated earlier, these two already played against each other in the opening round. Virtus.pro came to an easy win following two effortless wins on Overpass and Inferno. NiP manage to snatch just eleven rounds on both maps combined. To add insult to injury, VP’s key player YEKINDAR had a day off. He had a solid game, don’t get me wrong, but he was far from being the best player on the server, which is his usual position.
With that in mind, I guess we can say NiP’s expectations from this match aren’t sky-high. They’re well-aware of their downsides; they’re well-aware of VP’s superior map pool depth. Don’t get me wrong, NiP boys will do their best to reach the semifinals, but it’s safe to say they are massive underdogs coming into this one… especially knowing just how poorly they’ve played in the opening round.
Map Depth
Is there a point talking about the map pool depth when we’ve already seen these two go head to head in the opening round? I mean sure, NiP could snatch an upset-packed round, but the chances of that happening are highly unlikely.
As for our concrete Virtus.pro vs. NiP picks, are we going to see the same three maps get picked for tomorrow’s contest? Well, I don’t think so. NiP will want to try out something different; I doubt they’ll agree to the same terms which saw them lose two maps without even putting up a fight.
Unfortunately, whatever they opt for, I doubt it’ll have any major effect on the final outcome. As you can see, I’ve already picked my side here and it’s quite obvious. But, let’s say a word or two about both sets of players… perhaps that pushes the odds in NiP’s way.
Roster Strengths and Weaknesses
Jokes aside, the quality of VP’s roster greatly exceeds that of NiP. We’re not just talking about their roster as a whole, but both their individual qualities and experience. YEKINDAR and Jame are among the best duos out there, and the rest of the team aren’t far behind either. VP looks like a well-oiled machine; a machine that’s on its way to win its first event in 2021!
After a slow start on Inferno, YEKINDAR stepped up massively on Overpass with 35 kills!
He finished the series against FURIA with the highest Rating and ADR.#cssummit

Are there any positives to point out on NiP’s end?
Well, they did eliminate Dignitas in the last chance stage, following a decider-map win on Inferno. It could’ve easily gone 2:0 for NiP if it wasn’t for a twisty and turny end to Vertigo (16:14). While this performance did breathe in a dash of fresh air, especially for nawwk and twist, I still reckon it’s not enough to push them through Virtus.pro.
Virtus.pro vs. NiP Picks
Pick: Virtus.pro
Odds: -223
$100 Could Win You…$144.84
No point in beating around the bushes for much longer. We’ve already seen all relevant stats, we’ve already gone through the key areas of both teams, their map pool depths and everything else that ought to have an impact on our Virtus.pro vs. NiP predictions.
In the end, we just had to go with a simple match-winner on Virtus.pro. YEKINDAR and the boys have been too good, so -223 actually offers a fair value here. OG vs. Heroic looks like another fine quarterfinal match for us to explore; plenty of value to be found there as well.
With those words, I’d say we’re all done with our Virtus.pro vs. NiP picks.
Until next time…
May the odds be in your favor!
