It’s happening guys! With the final matches of the play-in stage all done and dusted, we have roughly twelve hours to get our bets in before the group stage kickoff. No worries, I’ve studied the potential matchups over these last few days, and I reckon there’ll be plenty of value up for grabs. Vitality vs. OG is the first group stage match I’d like to address here.
That was it for the play-in stage! We have seen some incredible CS and some insane comebacks today 😳
Join us again tomorrow for even more Counter-Strike and (possibly) even more comebacks and upsets 👀#IEM pic.twitter.com/h7vzHyJosv

It’s group B, the match that crosses with Liquid vs. Faze Clan. Vitality is the favorite before the kickoff, but OG’s play-in success could bring forth the much-needed morale boost before such an important fixture.
This match won’t be the ones faint of heart. I usually don’t like to talk picks before going into the discussion, but I wholeheartedly believe this one will go the extra length! Let’s see if Vitality vs. OG stats are there to back it up!
Vitality vs. OG Betting Predictions
CSGO betting is reaching new heights, fueled by another wave of lockdowns, long-awaited gameplay changes, and the ongoing IEM XV Katowice World Championship. The latter ought to be the grandest catalyst behind surging demand for CSGO betting options. If you’re here for exactly that, let’s waste no more time and continue with our Vitality vs. OG predictions:
Form
Vitality’s BLAST Premier Global Final run was nothing but solid. If you’ve been living under a rock for a while, they got eliminated by NaVi who went on to win the event. So yeah, semifinals – a solid run, to say the least.
Unfortunately, that can’t be said about their BLAST Premier Spring group stage displays. Two matches, two losses, only one won map. Vitality’s poor performance echoed throughout the CSGO community, following in the footsteps of Astralis’ surprising elimination which happened just a few days earlier.
The thing is, this will be Vitality’s first match following those two horrible losses on BLAST Premier Spring. OG, on the other hand, lost one and won two thus far on IEM XV World Championship. While I do think that score is nothing special, being in the competitive spirit is a virtue; a nuance worth mentioning.
Map Depth
Map pool depth is the next mark on our chopping block! What do the map stats tell us about these two teams? Is there any way we can use them to shape our final Vitality vs. OG predictions? Well, let’s take a look!
Both have been equally good on Dust 2, Mirage, Nuke, and Overpass. Inferno should be Vitality’s turf, just like Vertigo. OG has a solid run on Train, but they haven’t played it once thus far on IEM XV Katowice. I expect more of the same against Vitality since we’re talking about their permaban.
Long story short, Vitality should have the upper hand in all but one map… and that map is their permaban. Even though I had initially thought this one is likely to go the extra length, the map pool stats are making me doubt my initial call. See, that’s why it’s always good to do extensive pre-bet research; you never know what you might stumble upon!
Roster Strengths
What about roster strengths? Pfff, you really asked that with a straight face? Not trying to insult OG, but I fancy Vitality’s roster here. And it’s not just because of ZywOo either… although his presence played a big part in that equation.
So, what does that leave us with, boys and girls? What should we go here?
Well, I’m taking the path of simplicity here. No over/under shenanigans; just a straightforward match-winner pick. Drumroll please:
Vitality vs. OG Picks
At -185, Vitality match-winner is the obvious choice for this one! I know, I know – I said it’ll go the extra length… blah blah… Yep, I did say that… but after going through the map pool and checking out recent gameplay on them, I reckon it’s likelier to end up in a 2:0 blowout. At +155, the value is there… but so is the risk!
That said, I’ll leave you guys be.
Thanks for reading the whole thing; fingers crossed this Vitality vs. OG piece kickstarts a new winning spell.
