You might be surprised to know that it’s Kurt Busch and not his younger brother Kyle Busch that’s the better Busch brother when it comes to racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway where this weekend’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 takes place.
Additionally, it might be equally as surprising to see that it’s the older Kurt Busch who is also sitting higher in the standings than the 2019 Cup Series champ Kyle Busch.

Currently, Kurt Busch is sitting 10th in the driver standings and 11th in Playoff points. He’s looking to bounce back from two middle of the pack finishes over the last two weeks. And, I believe he will have a solid performance in this Sunday’s race.
Busch’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 Betting Odds
- To Win (+2200)
- Top 3 (+300)
- Top 5 (+550)
- Top 10 (-115)
If you look at all of Busch’s wagers listed on the various NASCAR online betting sites, you will see that he offers plenty of return on an investment.
But, it’s his Top 10 odds of -115 that I feel offers the best value. In fact, I believe Busch finishing in the Top 10 this weekend is one of the best wagers for the entire race.
Atlanta Motor Speedway Stats
In 29 career starts, Kurt Busch has three wins, seven Top 5s, and 15 Top 10s at this track. He’s tied with Kevin Harvick for the most wins and Top 10s of the current crop of drivers.
Furthermore, his 14.6 average finish is 5th best among active drivers and he actually has a better average finish than Kevin Harvick (15.8) who is pegged as the betting favorite to win the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500.
Busch last won at this track in 2009 and 2010. Since then, he’s tallied four Top 5s and eight Top 10s over the last 10 races at this track. His worst result in that span was 13th, which he did twice.
Recent Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 Results

- 4th in 2016
- 7th in 2017

- 6th in 2020
That’s a 5.4 average finish over the last five Atlanta races.
Take Busch to Finish in the Top 10 This Weekend
Busch currently has one Top 5 and two Top 10s on the year with a 13.6 average finish which includes two results outside of the Top 15.
NASCAR Bet: Top 10 – Kurt Busch (-115)
Now, he goes to a track where he’s run consistently well at and has won three times. I think Busch is a solid value bet for a Top 10 finish at -115 odds.
When it comes to Atlanta, he has finished in the Top 10 51.7 percent of the time including nine of the last 11 races at this track and five in a row.
