The #DignitasVIE boys clutch the 2-0 in Day 1 of Funspark. Almost making it too easy.

The winner of this match has a guaranteed spot in the top four. The upper bracket finals, to be more precise. They’ll play against the better of forZe vs Complexity. We could be in for a great encounter, especially if the Americans clinch the victory.
Extra Salt vs Dignitas Betting Predictions
Dignitas is the favorite team ahead of this one! The Swedish team cemented their position with a gorgeous victory against EG. HEAP and Lekr0 spoiled MICHU’s debut for Evil Geniuses in what was a clean and simple 2:= blowout. But, can they go the extra step and assert their authority against Extra Salt too?
Well, CSGO betting websites sure do see them as the favorites. At -227, Dignitas seems like a valuable bet! But, is it the right option for our Extra Salt vs Dignitas tips? Are there better options available for this clash? All that and more can be found in the next couple of sections!
Recent Results
Let’s talk about the opening-round matches for both teams! Extra Salt done what many have predicted – they took BIG out following a spectacular show on Nuke decider. Sonic and FaNg were unstoppable. They were leading the charge stats-wise, but also contributed in other departments too. More on them in the individual qualities section.
Moving onto Dignitas, they also reached an upset in the opening round! They played against Evil Geniuses in what was a wild card match from start to finish. You see, that match was MICHU’s debut and it’s safe to say Dignitas spoiled the fun… big time!
If we go further back, though, Extra Salt is the clear winner. But, we have to account for the fact that Dignitas seems to be on a roll against North American teams. First, they stomped Liquid, now EG… Extra Salt could easily be their third NA scalp.
Map Depth
Train, Vertigo, and Nuke are Extra Salt’s main maps. Well, Overpass is good too, but that one should be off limits considering Dignitas’ recent triumphs there. The same goes for Nuke – Dignitas love playing on it and have had plenty of success over the last few months. What does that leave Extra Salt with? Well, Train and Vertigo, really.
Statistically, Dignitas are inferior across the entire map spectrum except Overpass. But, in reality, the Swedes should be better on Inferno and Dust 2. Mirage is both teams’ permaban, but things could become weird should they decide to skip the Mirage ban. Mirage decider, now that would be awesome to see here!
Individual Qualities
Even though community figures warned EG about HEAP and Lekr0, another player stepped up for the challenge against Evil Geniuses. It was hallzerk – the Norwegian prodigy died just seventeen times, snatching fourty-five kills and ending up with ridiculous 1.75 rating. Looks like Dignitas now have three in-form players… Extra Salt could be in trouble.
No worries, ES has plenty of firepower too. oSee and Sonic are the go-to contributors here. However, they also had a sudden spark of brilliance from another team member. FaNg had a blast against BIG! The Swedes will have to keep close tabs on the 18-year-old Canadian if they want to move to the next upper bracket round.
Extra Salt vs Dignitas Picks
Dignitas to win at -227 is just too good of an opportunity here. There’s really no need to look for anything other than this. Extra Salt did win against BIG, but the match went down to BIG’s utterly disappointing performance more than ES’ exceptional efforts. Dignitas, on the other hand, swept through upgraded EG. If that’s not scary for the NA org, I don’t know what is.
$100 Could Win You…$144.05
If Extra Salt weren’t so good on Train and Vertigo, I would’ve gone with Dignitas to win 2:0 here. The return is far better than match-winner, but in my opinion it’s just not worth the extra risk.
