Penn Entertainment has unveiled the first phase of its multi-million-dollar M Resort renovations and property upgrades, spotlighting the extensive work that have transformed its casino floor. The new and improved gaming floor covers roughly 92,000 square feet and introduces a table games pit defined by travertine pathways and an expanded layout.
Thirty-nine table games were updated with fresh upholstery and seating, and nearly 1,125 square feet of new carpet were installed. The high-limit room received new wallpaper, lighting, drapery, and a reconfiguration of table layouts. A key feature, the Coors Light Chill Zone, has been relocated and integrated directly with Raiders Tavern & Grill.
The design theme draws inspiration from the surrounding desert and the resort’s pool area, presenting a “hidden oasis” aesthetic. The new palette blends ocean blues, sandy neutrals and golden tones to reinforce the resort retreat feel, according to Hussain Mahrous, vice president and general manager of M Resort. He noted that the upgrades aim to provide an immersive, upscale casino experience that meshes with the property’s identity.
This phase of the planned M Resort renovations marks the beginning of a broader expansion project, originally estimated at about $206 million. The next stages include construction of a second hotel tower, expected to add 384 rooms by early 2026, bringing total capacity to 774 rooms, along with new ballroom and convention space slated to open this winter.
The casino originally opened in March 2009 and became part of Penn Entertainment in 2011. It also serves as the Official Team Headquarters Hotel of the Las Vegas Raiders and maintains ties with the Henderson Silver Knights minor-league hockey team.
With the latest M Resort renovations, the property is positioning itself as a Las Vegas desert-inspired upscale destination well ahead of its next expansion milestones.
