A 28-acre mixed-use project in Reno featuring a 6,000-seat soccer stadium, hotel, gaming, and retail space has been proposed at Kietzke and Peckham lanes.
The project, known as “The Boulevard Reno,” aims to transform multiple parcels into a walkable destination featuring sports, dining, entertainment, and hospitality, according to application documents accessed by the Reno Gazette-Journal.
The proposal would redevelop the former Jones West Ford dealership site along with a neighboring strip mall currently occupied by tenants such as Grocery Outlet, Savers, and Dollar Tree, as well as a vacant former Joann Fabric space.
Plans call for a 301-room hotel with a casino, alongside an open-air retail and restaurant district centered on a public plaza referred to as Electric Avenue. The development could include up to eight buildings, with heights reaching as much as seven stories.
Developers are also seeking approval to expand Reno’s gaming overlay district across Kietzke Lane, in addition to requesting zoning changes and a conditional use permit for the stadium, hotel, and outdoor recreation components.
Project estimates indicate the development could generate between 850 and 950 jobs and provide more than 1,200 on-site parking spaces, with additional shared parking planned for major events.
The development is connected to Reno Pro Soccer’s United Soccer League Championship team, which is slated to start competing in 2027. The team has already begun taking deposits for season tickets in advance of its first season.
A local ownership group acquired the former dealership property and nearby retail parcels in 2025 as part of efforts to bring professional soccer back to Reno.
Reno’s last professional soccer team, Reno 1868 FC, competed from 2017 to 2020 before ceasing operations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
