G2E 2026 closed in Las Vegas on Thursday, capping three days of networking, education and business activity that brought together gaming professionals from more than 120 countries and territories.
The event once again placed technology, responsible gaming and the evolving guest experience at the centre of the conversation, while new initiatives such as the Business Solutions & Tech Zone and New Exhibitor Zone added fresh perspectives to the show floor.
In this exclusive interview with Yogonet, Korbi Carrison, Event Vice President of G2E at RX USA, takes stock of this year’s edition, discussing the trends that shaped the event, the response to its new exhibition areas, the strength of international participation and the growing role of Latin America within G2E’s global community.
As G2E 2026 comes to a close, what is your overall assessment of this year’s edition? Did it meet the expectations you had ahead of the show, and what would you particularly highlight?
We had a great week at G2E 2026! What stood out was the level of participation throughout the show, from thoughtful questions during education sessions to productive conversations on the show floor.
The week reflected an industry ready to address today’s priorities while preparing for what comes next.
After walking the show floor and speaking with exhibitors, operators, and attendees over the past few days, which trends do you think defined G2E 2026? Was there anything that had a greater presence or impact than you expected?
Technology was a major theme this year, especially with AI, cybersecurity, payments and data analytics. We also heard a lot about responsible gaming, regulation and the guest experience.
What stood out to me was how connected these conversations have become. Technology now touches nearly every part of the business, and the industry is thinking carefully about how to apply new tools in practical and responsible ways.
This year, G2E introduced new areas such as the Business Solutions & Tech Zone and the New Exhibitor Zone. What kind of response did these initiatives receive, and what do they tell you about the evolving needs of the gaming industry?
Both areas brought a fresh perspective to the show floor.
The Business Solutions & Tech Zone highlighted tools supporting the full gaming business, from artificial intelligence and cybersecurity to payments and marketing. The New Exhibitor Zone gave emerging companies a dedicated space to introduce their products and connect with industry leaders.
The interest in both areas reinforced the need for more diverse solutions as gaming businesses adapt to new technology and changing customer expectations.
G2E brings together professionals from more than 120 countries and territories. From an international perspective, how would you assess participation from markets outside the United States this year? And what role does Latin America play in G2E’s international growth strategy?
G2E has always been a global event, and the international presence this year remained strong. Bringing together professionals from different markets creates better conversations and gives attendees a broader view of the industry.
Latin America continues to be an important part of G2E’s international community. We want to keep creating opportunities for leaders from the region to connect, share their perspectives, and build relationships with partners from around the world.
Having been involved with G2E and witnessed its evolution over the years, was there anything about this year’s edition that surprised you personally?
I was struck by the range of experiences across the show this year. The Business Solutions & Tech Zone brought new companies and ideas into the conversation, while the Dealer Championship celebrated the people who bring the casino floor to life every day. It was especially meaningful to welcome international competitors for the first time and celebrate this year’s winner, Emely Pascual Alvarez from Mohegan Sun.
Both additions showed how G2E continues to evolve while staying connected to the people and businesses at the heart of gaming.
