EDGE Markets expects to process more than $2 billion in transactions during the current NFL season, up from $1.2 billion last season, following the launch of EDGE Connect, which enables real-time fund transfers from EDGE Boost to partner prediction markets.
The company processed more than $800 million in transactions during the first 44 days of the season, nearly four times the volume recorded over the same period last season.
EDGE Markets provides financial services for prediction markets, gaming, and cryptocurrency. Its EDGE Boost product combines a special-purpose debit account with a Visa debit card, allowing users to keep trading funds separate from their everyday finances.
Through EDGE Connect, users can transfer funds from EDGE Boost to partner prediction markets Kalshi, Polymarket, ProphetX, and Splash Sports in real time, including outside traditional banking hours.
“Football has become a 24/7 market, and the money behind it has been stuck on banking hours,” said Seni Thomas, CEO and Founder of EDGE Markets. “Fans want a fast, dedicated way to fund their sports entertainment, and we keep building and improving our products around the idea that money should move as fast as the game does.”
EDGE Boost offers up to 0.5% cash back on qualifying spending categories and charges no fees for transfers to partner markets. Users can transfer up to $5 million per transaction and $50 million per day to Kalshi, Polymarket, or ProphetX.
The account is funded using users’ own money through automated clearing house transfers from linked checking or savings accounts, wire transfers, or cryptocurrency converted into US dollars through Zero Hash. It does not accept credit card funding.
EDGE Markets said the NFL playoffs and holiday schedule could bring further transaction activity, with the season’s highest-volume weeks yet to come.
EDGE Boost is available through its website and on iOS and Google Play.
