Entain has announced this week that licences have been awarded by the State Administrative Office of Saxony-Anhalt, for the operation of its gaming and poker services throughout Germany. The Group has been granted all five licences it applied for, enabling it to offer gaming under its bwin, Ladbrokes and Sportingbet brands, and poker under bwin and Ladbrokes. Sports betting and iGaming operator Codere Online has reported its financial results for the third quarter of the year. For the period ended September 30, total revenue was €28.9 million ($29.9 million), 51% above Q3 2021, while net gaming revenue was €30.6 million ($31.7 million), 54% above the same period last year. However, losses increased 73% quarter-on-quarter from €6.7 million ($6.9 million) to €11.6 million ($12 million) despite the revenue growth. Nebraska’s first casino has already contributed nearly $800,000 to a state property tax relief fund so far, according to a report from the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission. The figures correspond to the first five weeks of operation of WarHorse Casino in Lincoln, and include $597,854 during the month of October. Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency’s Director, John A. Martin, announced Thursday that the state will launch online sports wagering on November 23, the day before Thanksgiving. On Wednesday, Maryland’s Sports Wagering Application Review Commission (SWARC) approved 10 mobile sports betting licenses, with seven ready to launch. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has reported gaming revenue results for October. During the last month, the combined revenue general from all forms of gaming amounted to $450.2 million, an increase of 5.7% compared to last year’s October. The increase was driven by a record-setting performance of online casino gaming in the Keystone State. Sources of gaming revenue regulated by the PGCB include slot machines, table games, iGaming, sports wagering, fantasy contests and video gaming terminals (VGTs). Online gaming services and content provider Evolution announced Thursday the launch of its second New Jersey live casino studio, the company’s fifth serving the US iGaming market.
