Ireland has approved its new Gambling Regulation Bill. The cabinet of the tri-party coalition government signed off on the publication of the legislation today, paving the way to a new regulatory regime drafted by Minister of State James Browne of the Department of Justice. Gaming technology group NOVOMATIC announced Monday it is expanding internationally with one of the largest transactions in its corporate history: the acquisition of the HBG Group, making the company one of the largest concessionaires in Italy.  The takeover was approved by the Italian Autonomous Administration of State Monopolies (AAMS). Arlington Heights trustees took a step forward last week in the process of allowing the Chicago Bears to proceed with their plans for a redevelopment of Arlington International Racecourse by approving a zoning change that would allow the operation of a sports betting facility in the area.  This facility is part of the Bears’ $5 billion proposal to create a new NFL stadium and a mixed-use commercial and residential district on the 326-acre Arlington Park site. Data and tech provider Genius Sports shared Thursday its financial results for the third quarter of the year. For the period ended September 30, the business reported revenues of $78.7 million, an increase of 28% year-over-year.
