The numbers are in from August, and they show that the state generated over $1.2 billion for the last full month of summer. The Massachusetts State Lottery reported a net profit of $1.105 billion for the Commonwealth during the 2022 fiscal year, which began on July 1, 2021, and ended on June 30, 2022. State Treasurer Deborah B. Goldberg announced that this is the second consecutive year that the Lottery breaks the $1 billion mark. Online gambling group LeoVegas announced Thursday that the company’s board of directors has been reshaped. The company resolved at a meeting this week that the board is set to consist of three members: current chief executive Gustaf Hagman; MGM Resorts CEO William Hornbuckle; and Gary Fritz, head of gaming at IAC, a major LeoVegas shareholder. Xpoint has announced a new multi-million dollar round of investment funding that is set to support the company’s growth in the USA, Canada and worldwide. Sports betting services provider Kambi Group has entered into an agreement with Mohegan to provide its on-property sports betting platform at Fallsview Casino Resort and Casino Niagara in Ontario, Canada.
