The Shoalwater Bay Indian Tribe has filed a motion in federal court in Tacoma, Washington, seeking to intervene in cardroom operator Maverick Gaming’s pending lawsuit against federal and state agencies and officials. Century Casinos announced Friday its financial results for the second quarter of 2022. The company reported a 21% increase in its net operating revenue in a year-over-year comparison to $111,1 million during the period. The brand’s earnings from operations were $208 million, an increase of 15% from the same period in 2021. A coalition of five provincial gaming corporations in Canada is calling on the federal government to continue to work with the provinces and regulators to protect Canadians from the advertising and operation of illegal gambling websites within the country. The Colorado Division of Gaming reported Wednesday the monthly sports betting figures corresponding to June 2022, with a total handle of $313.2, a 13% decrease from May, when the state perceived a total of $360,3 million. The state Gaming Commission has asked the public to temper their expectations for a fast launch at this point. The Arkansas Board of Election Commissioners will not certify the ballot title for a proposed constitutional amendment intended to remove Pope County as a state-license casino site.
