Casino-entertainment giant Caesars Entertainment announced that a revamped Caesars Sportsbook app will launch in Nevada later this year, with faster payouts and more betting options including same-game parlays. The Ohio Lottery has revised and modified its rules on cashing in sports bets, making it easier for winners to receive their prizes at any lottery retailer. Sports betting is finally moving forward at three Maryland facilities, as gaming and lottery officials announced on Wednesday. Maryland Stadium Sub, which intends to operate a sportsbook at FedEx Field, and Chesapeake Gaming, which has an off-track betting venue in Boonsboro, have qualified for sports wagering licenses by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission.  Additionally, the commission found that Betfred Sports, the operator of Long Shot’s in Frederick, qualified for a sports wagering facility operator license. Caesars Entertainment and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians announced Wednesday a partnership in the development of Caesars Virginia, which officially breaks ground in Danville this week. The three Detroit casinos reported $107.2 million in monthly aggregate revenue in July, with table games and slots making $105.9 million in revenue and retail sports betting producing $1.3 million, according to the latest data from the Michigan Gaming Control Board, which also renewed their annual licenses. The figure is down from the $116.9 million in revenue in July 2021, but up from the previous month, having posted $98.6 million in June.
