Maine lawmakers have narrowly advanced a bill that would legalize sports betting in the state. The proposal would permit tribes to operate mobile sports betting while also authorizing harness racing tracks, off-track betting facilities and the Oxford Casino to conduct retail operations. The bill was passed by the Judiciary Committee on an 8-6 vote on Wednesday, reports Central Maine. It is part of targeted tribal sovereignty reforms negotiated between Gov. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported on Thursday gaming revenue results for February. During the past month, the combined total revenue generated from all forms of gaming along with fantasy contests was $375.7 million, an increase of 24.4% when compared to revenue posted the same month in 2022. As for Pennsylvania’s sportsbooks, they reported $597.1 million in wagers in February, up 17.2% from $509.5 million in February 2021. Fox Corp.’s plans to gain footing in the sports betting market through its FOX Bet brand seem to have stalled amid ongoing ownership issues with partner Flutter Entertainment Plc. Nevada and Indiana gaming regulators are looking into Penn National Gaming’s bid to acquire Barstool Sports amid sexual misconduct allegations against Barstool founder Dave Portnoy, The Wall Street Journal reported.  Nevada Gaming Control Board Chairman J.
