Mike DeWine has signed a bill legalizing sports betting into law, thus finally bringing sporting events wagering to the Buckeyes State after a years-long process which included several false starts. Georgia’s parliament passed a bill Wednesday imposing restrictions on gambling, including the rise of the age limit for gambling, banning advertisements, and increased taxes on the industry.  The package law includes the imposition of a 10% tax on gross gaming revenue as opposed to the current tax on profits, as well as a 2% tax on winnings.
