The comic legend has been selling out venues since 2003, and now he will perform a total of six shows with all new material at The Colosseum. Tesla is set to open its first Connecticut electric vehicle showroom at Mohegan Sun Casino & Resort this fall. According to the casino, the Sales and Delivery Center will be located in the Shops at Mohegan Sun, at a first-floor storefront formerly occupied by a Victoria’s Secret store. Connecticut’s law requires car manufacturers to sell to dealers, who then sell the vehicles to customers. Because of Tesla’s direct-to-consumer business model, the company had not been able to sell vehicles in the state. Casino landlord VICI Properties has reported 35.5% revenue growth in the second quarter of the year, reaching $898.2 million. The real estate investment trust said the quarter’s results and current liquidity enable it to continue its pursuit “of attractive domestic and international growth opportunities across the experiential landscape.” Net income attributable to common stockholders increased year-over-year to $690.7 million in Q2, up from a loss of $57.7 million the same period last year; while AFFO hiked by 25.7% on a yearly basis to $540.4 million and, on a per share basis, increased 11.9% to $0.54. Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport broke a new record last month. According to a Clark County Department of Aviation report on Wednesday, the airport had its highest number of June passengers in its history with 4.9 million people passing through it, surpassing the previous June 2022 record of 4.7 million in 2022. A bipartisan Senate bill has been introduced to crack down on “hidden” resort fees for hotel stays. It would establish federal guidelines for pricing transparency that have been, up until now, mostly voluntary, thus requiring anyone advertising a hotel room or a short-term rental to clearly show upfront the final price a customer would pay to book lodging. The proposal, called the Hotel Fees Transparency Act, would make the Federal Trade Commission responsible for pursuing violations. Online gambling operator Kindred reported the revenue share generated from harmful gambling in the second quarter of the year. The total amounted to 3.1% of total revenue, down from this year’s first quarter by 0.2%. Overall revenue in Q2 was GBP 307.3 million ($396.3 million), a 29% increase from the same period in 2022.   Kindred had initially reported that its share of problem gambling revenue in Q1 was 3.0%.
