US casino giant Caesars Entertainment has unveiled plans to bolster its responsible gaming policies by raising the age restriction for Caesars Rewards and expanding its self-exclusion program, a launch that is taking place during Problem Gambling Awareness Month.  The Reno-based operator of some of the Strip’s biggest properties said last week that it will implement its self-exclusion program across its entire gaming portfolio by the end of March. Crypto technology company Bakkt Holdings announced Thursday a partnership with US casino giant Caesars Entertainment. As part of the deal, the live entertainment venue at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Zappos Theater, will be renamed Bakkt Theater, and the companies will collaborate to allow Caesars Rewards members to redeem their credits through Bakkt Crypto Rewards, pending regulatory approval. “Bakkt and Caesars will continue to explore and innovate around Bakkt’s existing suite of cryptocurrency solutions. A Missouri House committee considered a bill Wednesday that would put a constitutional amendment before voters to expand casino gambling. House Joint Resolution 23 would put a measure on the ballot that, if passed, would allow the Missouri Gaming Commission to grant a license for a casino on the Osage River.  Bill sponsor Rep Jeff Knight cited projections that a casino in the Lake of the Ozarks area could net about $100 million in revenue annually. The man responsible for sports betting in his state is back at work. Senator Joseph Addabbo has rolled out a New York online gambling bill that would regulate web based casino games, including slot machines. The bill also has provisions for live dealer and table games, as well as for online poker. In true New York fashion, however, Addabbo’s bill proposes a tax rate of over 30% to be imposed on operators.
