Election Day is finally here, and it happens to be a pretty quiet day on the American sports calendar. We’ve got no football, baseball, or basketball to help us get through what should be a whirlwind of a political news day, but European soccer does give us something to bet on during the day. Some of the best teams in the world will be back in action when Champions League play resumes Tuesday afternoon.
We’ve got just a pair of odds boosters at BetOnline on today’s light spots schedule. Which of them is worth your while?
Champions League: Liverpool and Real Madrid BOTH to Win (+375)
Liverpool and Real Madrid have both enjoyed quite a bit of Champions League success in recent years, but both sides face tough battles on Tuesday. Liverpool will be in Italy facing Atalanta, who were the highest-scoring team in Serie A a season ago. Real Madrid, meanwhile, will be home to face Inter Milan.
Liverpool have been in good form despite a rash of injuries, with two wins through two Champions League fixtures thus far. Atalanta will present the toughest test of the Reds’ group stage run thus far, though the Italian side were held to a draw last week against Ajax. That puts Liverpool in the driver’s seat in Group D.

Real Madrid have been in awful form. Los Blancos sit bottom of Group B with one point through two matches, and last week’s draw against Borussia Monchengladbach wasn’t a step in the right direction. Real Madrid got the better of Barcelona in El Clasico a couple of weeks ago, but it has otherwise been a rocky season for Zinedine Zidane and co.
Fortunately for Real, nobody else is running away with the group. Shakhtar Donetsk are top of the group with just four points, while Inter and Monchengladbach are both sitting just a point ahead of the Spanish giants. Getting a result against a talented Inter side won’t be easy, but Madrid are still -109 home favorites on the moneyline. Eden Hazard should be fit enough to start, which is an instant boost for Zidane.
Inter are just sixth in the Italian league table with 11 points through six matches. Antonio Conte’s side have just one win in their last four appearances in the league, so this team hasn’t really played up to par so far in 2020.
Champions League: Eden Hazard to Score AND Real Madrid to Win (+290)
Hazard returned from injury to start in Real’s 4-1 triumph on the road against Huesca over the weekend. The Belgian international scored an excellent goal in helping his side climb the La Liga table.
That was Hazard’s first game in any competition so far this season, so it will be interesting to see how long a leash Zidane gives him today. He was subbed off after an hour of play in favor of Vinicius Junior against Huesca with Los Blancos nursing a 2-1 lead. Hazard may have more in the tank today, but it would still be a surprise if Zidane let him play a full 90 minutes.

As a result, you’re having to bank on Hazard finding the back of the net in a limited amount of time on the pitch. Obviously, that makes for a risky betting proposition. Real Madrid are also favored here, but we know based on their form that collecting all three points isn’t exactly fait accompli.
What’s The Best Bet?
The odds for these props is pretty surprising. Hazard is the best bet among all Real players to score a goal today, but it’s not like he’s a sure thing by any means. I’m skeptical enough that Madrid are good enough to actually beat Inter Milan, but considering both props are tied to a Real win, we can’t get too picky.
Liverpool aren’t at full strength without Virgil van Dijk, but they have still managed to defend admirably without their world-class defender.
As long as the front-three of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino is healthy and scoring goals, Klopp’s side will always be able to compete.
The fact that you’re getting longer odds on Liverpool and Real both winning is surprising, but the value is there. Atalanta has been leaky defensively, with 13 goals conceded through just six games in league play. While we know Atalanta can score (17 goals on the year), they can’t afford too many defensive lapses against a team as dangerous as Liverpool in attack.
I like Liverpool and Madrid both to win at the +375 odds. You’re getting awesome bang for your buck there.
