BetOnline Odds Boosts for Tuesday, November 10

betonline-odds-boosts-for-tuesday,-november-10

Following Monday’s surprisingly competitive contest between the New England Patriots and the New York Jets, we have a pretty quiet Tuesday on the sports calendar. The Masters gets underway in just a couple of days, but we have no Champions League to keep us occupied during the daytime hours this week.

There are a few college football games scattered around the country later tonight, so at least the day isn’t entirely without some sort of action. Let’s roll through BetOnline’s daily odds boost offerings to find the best betting value.

Golf: Brooks Koepka to Finish Top-Five at The Masters (+425)

Brooks Koepka dominated the PGA Tour in 2019, but his 2020 campaign was more average as a result of some injury issues. Koepka finished in the top-10 just twice in 13 starts, after putting up nine top-10 finishes in 21 events back in ’19. Through his first two outings in the 2021 campaign, the Florida native has made the cut twice with a fifth-place finish at last week’s Vivint Houston Open.

Koepka finished tied for second place at the 2019 Masters, and it’s one of just two majors he has yet to win. His four previous trips to Augusta National have resulted in 33rd, 21st, 11th, and second-place finishes. He has improved his finishing position with each passing start at this event. If that trend continues, he’ll finish alone in first place this time around.

DJ’s got momentum, Justin Thomas has plenty of experience and Brooks Koepka is healthy again. 👀

Koepka is listed at +1800 to win the 2020 Masters at BetOnline, which gives him the seventh-best odds of any player. He is always an alluring bet to win any tournament in which he plays, and a top-five finish for a player of this caliber is very much within reach. Koepka is one of the most steady players on the Tour, so the +425 odds on the 30-year-old to nab a top-five finish here look plenty appealing.

Golf: A European Player Wins The Masters (+300)

Tiger Woods and Patrick Reed have won each of the last two Masters, while the last European to take the title was Sergio Garcia in 2017. Before that, the last European to win the tournament was another Spaniard, Jose Maria Olazabal, way back in 1999.

This year, the European with the best chances to win is Jon Rahm (+1000), who has consistently been one of the best players on the PGA Tour over the past couple of years. Rory McIlroy (+1200) and Tyrrell Hatton (+3300) have the next-best chances among Europeans at this year’s event.

McIlroy has come close in the past, but a win has continued to elude him. He finished 21st last year, but each of his five starts from 2014 to 2018 resulted in top-10 finishes. Rahm finished 27th in 2017, fourth in 2018, and tied for ninth last year. Hatton hasn’t had much success in his three starts. He missed the cut in 2017, finished 44th in 2018, and 56th last year.

NCAAF: Buffalo (-9.5) and Kent State (-20.5) BOTH to Cover (+315)

Buffalo will host Miami of Ohio in one of the three college football games on tap for tonight. The Bulls are off to a 1-0 start after a 49-30 win over Northern Illinois in their first game of the year, while the Redhawks got past Ball State by a touchdown in their own opener. Buffalo is favored by 9.5 points at home in this one, but Miami actually won this matchup a year ago by the score of 34-20.

Kent State, meanwhile, favored by nearly three touchdowns on the road tonight at Bowling Green. The Golden Flashes picked up a four-point win over Eastern Michigan a week ago. Bowling Green, meanwhile, was crushed 38-3 by Toledo. Bowling Green hasn’t won more than three games in a season since going 4-8 back in 2016, and their last winning season was a 10-4 showing in 2015. Kent State went a respectable 7-6 last year and wound up beating Utah State in the Frisco Bowl.

What’s The Best Bet?

Buffalo and Kent State both to cover at +315 offers solid value, but we’re still very early in the MAC season. Every team in action tonight has played just one game so far in 2020. Based on what we have seen with other conferences, it’s still way too early to draw many definitive conclusions one way or the other about how good or bad these teams may be. Three touchdowns is an awfully big spread in that Kent State-Bowling Green game, so I’ll fade the MACtion tonight.

European players don’t have the greatest recent track record at The Masters, with just two Euro champions in the last 20 years.

Rahm and McIlroy will likely be in the hunt, but the odds heavily favor an American once again claiming the Green Jacket. Speaking of Americans, Brooks Koepka to earn himself a top-five finish this week at +425 is just excellent value. Koepka is one of the betting favorites to win the entire tournament, so you can hedge a bit and still get all sorts of upside if he just manages to crack the top-five finishers.

Koepka to notch a top-five finish at +425 is the best bet here.
