Picture the scene: Christmas Day is done, you’re already growing tired of your festive ‘bubble’, and there are turkey sandwiches to be made.

It’s been a difficult year for everyone, but at least you’ve got the perfect excuse to get away from it all on 26th December: the Boxing Day football.

With all games confirmed for TV and crowds still restricted at stadiums, most of us will have to settle for watching our favourite sides from the comfort of our sofas this festive season.

However, the fixture computer has at least been nice rather than naughty this year in serving up some sensational Boxing Day action.

You can check our full Boxing Day predictions here – but first up, why not read our run down of the main games you can look forward to with a nice cold turkey sandwich?

Pass the cranberry sauce…

Don’t lie in too long on Boxing Day as the action begins early at the King Power.

It’s a 12:30pm kick-off for Leicester City vs Man Utd – with BT Sport covering the action.

If that game fails to rouse you from your post-Christmas haze, Rangers vs Hibernian could be the perfect pick-me-up in the Scottish Premiership, at the same time over on Sky Sports Football.

What match will you be watching with your turkey sandwiches?

Rangers fans dreaming of ending nine in a row will be hoping a win for them earlier in the day is followed by a shock at New Douglas Park as Hamilton take on Celtic, also at 3pm on Sky Sports Football.

If you’re not onto your second nap of the day by 5:30pm, a London derby should help shake you back into life. Arsenal vs Chelsea could be the Christmas cracker that helps light up a more low-key festive season as the two rivals clash at 5:30pm on Sky.

It could be time for second helpings of turkey by the time the live TV action rounds off at 8pm, but BT Sport have been keen kind enough to serve up a choice of fixtures.

Man City take on Newcastle Utd on BT Sport 1, while it’s Sheffield Utd vs Everton over on BT Sport 2.
