On Saturday, February 27, another exciting UFC Fight Night event will officially take place in Las Vegas. The heavyweights are once again on full display and the undercard is stacked with incredible matchups. Today, I’ll break down the best underdog bets for UFC Rozenstruik vs Gane.
As with every event, this weekend’s fight card will feature some very intriguing underdogs. I think there are some massive opportunities to win big with the oddsmakers.
Before getting into the individual fights, I’ll discuss one of the best US online sportsbooks available for betting on the big fights this Saturday.
Here’s How to Bet on the UFC Online Right Now
The UFC is now one of the most popular sports leagues on the planet. Its busy schedule has helped it grow considerably over the past year. Millions of people now head to different online sports betting sites to bet on the events taking place every week.
There are some fantastic US online sportsbooks offering odds on every single UFC event nowadays. One of the best is Bovada. Since launching in 2011, it has grown to become one of the most recognizable sports betting brands in the world.
Bovada is known for its safety. This site offers a range of secure payment options for its members, 24/7. You will never have to worry about being able to deposit or withdraw your money here.
The odds are also some of the best that you will find online. Unlike many other internet sportsbooks, Bovada often provides a range of prop bets for every single UFC fight taking place each week. These can offer some amazing opportunities to win big.
This website is providing incredible odds on this weekend’s entire fight card. As some fans are beginning to realize, there are some interesting underdogs fighting this Saturday.
Now is the perfect time to look at five underdog fighters that could be worth throwing some money on this Saturday.
Five Best Underdog Bets for UFC Rozenstruik vs Gane
Mixed martial arts is a difficult sport to predict. Anything can happen in this sport and it’s not uncommon to see massive upsets take place. It seems likely that fans will be treated to some of these upsets this Saturday evening.
Without further ado, let’s take a look at the five-best underdogs worth a bet on for this weekend’s fight card.
#1: Bet on Thiago Moises (+175) vs Alexander Hernandez (-225)
The final prelim taking place this Saturday is between Thiago Moises and Alexander Hernandez. Both of these lightweights are working hard to crack into the top-10 of the weight class. Interestingly, the odds swing heavily in Hernandez’s favor.
I think these odds do not reflect how talented Thiago Moises really is. He’s riding a two-fight win streak over Micheal Johnson and Bobby Green. That most recent fight, in particular, proved that Thiago is among the elite at 155 pounds. At +175, he is without a doubt one of the best underdog bets for UFC Rozenstruik vs Gane.
Alexander Hernandez is a talented fighter in his own right. Against high-level competition, he tends to struggle. It seems fans have forgotten his one-sided losses to Donald Cerrone and Drew Dober. His odds of -225 seem a little off.
Prediction: Thiago Moises wins via unanimous decision
Alexander Hernandez seems to have improved after changing camps recently. Still, I don’t think he should come in as such a favorite against Moises. His Brazilian opponent is dangerous everywhere. I expect Thiago to outstrike Alex on the feet and threaten submissions on the ground to earn a decision victory.
#2: Bet on Kevin Croom (+170) vs Alex Caceras (-210)
Over in the featherweight division, Kevin Croom and Alex Caceres will face off to kick off the main card. Croom burst onto the UFC scene by defeating Roosevelt Roberts in the first round. Caceres is a veteran of the fight game with three-straight wins heading into this bout.
Little was known about Kevin Croom heading into his UFC debut. He proved he belongs in the world’s biggest promotion by taking out the highly-touted Roosevelt Roberts. Many fans now believe we’ll see another big upset taking place on Saturday.
Alex Caceres has always been a talented fighter. He is inconsistent, however, and tends to lose against fighters that are dangerous on the feet and on the ground. That is exactly what his opponent brings to the cage.
Prediction: Kevin Croom wins via submission in round two
Wild fighters are dangerous fighters. Kevin Croom is about as wild as it gets inside the cage and he’ll be throwing heat at Caceres from the beginning. I think he’ll land a big shot in the second and secure another submission win like he did against Roberts.
#3: Bet on Pedro Munhoz (+125) vs Jimmie Rivera (-155)
One of the biggest fights taking place on Saturday is between Pedro Munhoz and Jimmie Rivera. These two bantamweights are both close to the division’s top-five. A win here could earn them a spot here.
Pedro Munhoz’s last fight came against former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar. It was a great fight, yet Pedro ended up losing a split decision. He remains one of the most dangerous fighters in the division and has a perfect skill set to give a fighter like Jimmie Rivera trouble.
Rivera is having a career resurgence right now. He looked amazing against Cody Stamann and seems to be settling into his game. I think this should be a close bout and that makes it one of the best underdog bets for UFC Rozenstruik vs Gane.
Prediction: Pedro Munhoz wins via TKO in round one
Many fans tend to forget that Pedro Munhoz is a former boxer with dangerous punching power. Many believe he deserved to get the win over Frankie Edgar. I expect Munhoz to land a power shot on the feet late in the first round to get the stoppage victory.
#4: Bet on Nikita Krylov (+280) vs Magomed Ankalaev (-370)
The co-main event features one of the biggest underdogs on the entire event this Saturday. Nikita Krylov is a fantastic fighter, yet he’s facing one of the true dark horses at light-heavyweight against Magomed Ankalaev. The majority of analysts believe Magomed will get the win here.
You can never count Krylov out. Most recently, he defeated Johnny Walker in a fight that he entered as the massive underdog. He is dangerous everywhere, yet it’s his striking game that tends to be the most dangerous tool in his arsenal.
Magomed Ankalaev is now riding a five-fight win streak in the UFC. His last fight was a spectacular knockout victory over Ion Cutelaba. A win here could finally set the Dagestani striker up for a big-name opponent next.
Prediction: Nikita Krylov wins via KO in round one
Some might feel this is a longshot. Krylov is as dangerous as they come, though, and has recorded knockouts over heavyweights in the past. I think he has what it takes to land a knockout shot in the first round of this fight. At +280, that could end up being one of the best underdog bets for UFC Rozenstruik vs Gane available right now.
#5: Bet on Jairzinho Rozenstruik (+205) vs Cyril Gane (-265)
The main event of this fight card takes place between Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Cyril Gane. This is a massive fight (no pun intended) for the heavyweight division moving forward. The winner could find themselves just one more victory away from the title.
Jairzinho burst onto the UFC scene back in February of 2019. He’s since gone 5-1 in the promotion with each of those wins coming by knockout. I am very surprised to see Jairzinho come into this bout as the +205 underdog.
Cyril Gane has plenty of hype heading into this bout. I’m not convinced he is as good as some analysts believe, though. He has yet to face off against someone with a similar level of kickboxing to him. He’ll certainly face that against Gane this weekend.
Prediction: Jairzinho Rozenstruik wins via KO in round two
I couldn’t make a list of the best underdog bets for UFC Rozenstruik vs Gane without mentioning the main event! Rozenstruik is a former kickboxing champion with incredible power on the feet. I think he will pick Gane apart on the feet before landing a head kick knockout mid-way through the second round. Experience matters in the fight game and Rozenstruik simply has more of it.
Bet With Confidence on the Underdogs
This Saturday’s fight card is flying under the radar. There aren’t any true superstars competing but hardcore fans have a number of amazing bouts to look forward to. The main event winner could even end up facing Alexander Volkov next, the winner of last weekend’s main event.
Betting fans can head over to Bovada today to see a full list of the odds for the bouts this weekend. Let me know who you think wins in the main and co-main event in the comments section below!
