The European championships are now just a few weeks away, with anticipation continuing to build ahead of the event. Betting on Euro 2021 is also proving popular, from the top scorer markets, through to the outright title winners. Many domestic leagues are also now reaching the final matches, so players will always be looking forward to the event, so with this being the case, who are the favourites heading into the event.
The Premier league has long been known as the strongest league in European football and with Manchester United heading into the Europa league final as the strong favourites and both Manchester City and Chelsea set to go head to head in the Champions league final, it shows this has not changed. Many English players have also been part of this great success, so it will come as little surprise as to why England are heading into the tournament as the general favourites at 9/2. The side will be looking to win the competition for the first time but there is little doubt that this appears to be their best chance for some time, with a very strong squad and them entering following a strong qualification.

Next in the market as the general second favourites are France, who are available at around 5/1. They enter on the back of winning the World Cup in 2018 and also were beaten finalists at the last European championships. This is why they are many people’s ideas of the winners and they also enter in solid form and following a strong qualification. However, they have been drawn in a very difficult group, so this could play against them, as they usually build into competitions and improve each round.
Then third in the betting at a general 11/2 are Belgium, who are another side entering following a stunning qualification. Belgium are also coming off the back of a third placed finish at the world cup, which was their best finish in the history of the competition. Belgium are also going through a period of some incredible talent, so will be expected to win a major trophy within the coming years. Belgium are always a very tough side to beat, so are another side amongst the favourites and coming under some solid support in the betting markets.
Who do you think will win the tournament and where is your money going?
