Fanatics Betting and Gaming has announced the debut of Fanatics Sportsbook in Virginia, as the company keeps expanding its footprint following its acquisition of PointsBet US. With this new launch, Fanatics now operates in seven states, including Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Existing PointsBet customers in Virginia will be migrated to the new Fanatics Sportsbook platform along with the transfer of their account information, including username, password, balance, and responsible gaming settings. The Fanatics Sportsbook app, available for iOS and Android devices, is also now open for new users in the state.
The Virginia launch follows the company going live with both its sports betting operations and a new online casino product in West Virginia earlier in the month. Incorporated into the Fanatics Sportsbook app, the online casino features games such as roulette, slots, blackjack, and the new Fanatics Blackjack.
Fanatics’ acquisition of PointsBet US assets was initiated in August of this year, following the announcement of a $225 million deal back in June. Approval for the acquisition was granted in September in eight states: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia.
A few weeks later in October, it completed the acquisition of PointsBet operations in New York and Wyoming. Fanatics is awaiting the completion of the process in other states, such as Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, and Ohio.
To facilitate payments, Fanatics has partnered with Paysafe, offering traditional card payment options and other alternative payment methods. Customers can deposit and withdraw using debit cards and APMs, as well as with Paysafecash, a barcode-based online cash solution. These options are available in the states of Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Tennessee.
Virginia customers will be able to take advantage of the Rewards Surge campaign. The seven-day promotion features special offers to celebrate Thanksgiving weekend games, including up to 5% back in FanCash on bets.
The loyalty program of Fanatics Sportsbook is based on FanCash, which can be used for Bonus Bets as well as to purchase products on Fanatics.com. Customers can earn FanCash in the following ways:
– 5% on Same Game Parlay (SGP) bets.
– 3% on parlay bets.
– 1% on straight bets and odds boosts.
