Two massive players in the sports betting and iGaming industries have banded together to sign a partnership deal that will span to September 2024.
FanDuel Group and IGT just made the official announcement that they have entered into a multi-year sports betting deal that covers the full U.S. market. This partnership will make it possible for the duo to offer high-volume, powerful retail sportsbooks keeping people entertained in a user-friendly and intuitive way.
An Exciting New Partnership for the U.S. Sports Betting Market
The deal between the iGaming provider FanDuel Group and the highly impressive IGT PlaySports platform will give people in the United States a chance to take advantage of the growing momentum that the industry is experiencing.
IGT will power all of the existing and new FanDuel Group’s retail locations, as well as offer IGT’s PlayCasino games where online casinos are being run by FanDuel Group.
The agreement currently spans across nine different states. Players in these states will now have access to some of the most exciting and popular IGT PlayDigital’s PlayCasino games.
These options include such games as roulette, blackjack, and a wide range of slots. Expect to see some of the most popular games in IGT’s portfolio including Trip Red Hot 7s Free Games, Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin, and much more.
Let’s not forget that players will also have access to the mobile wagering websites and apps. Additionally, FanDuel also offers its highly successful fantasy sports option as well.
Matt King, FanDuel Group CEO, commented on this partnership and IGT’s importance to FanDuel’s success:
“IGT’s PlaySports platform has been integral to FanDuel Sportsbook’s expansion in the U.S., as we currently leverage it to power America’s #1 Sportsbook. IGT’s PlaySports platform enables us to create an intuitive, technologically driven customer experience at our world-class retail sportsbooks for our customers, while its PlayCasino content enables FanDuel to deliver premium mobile casino entertainment in new and existing markets.”
This Isn’t Their First Milestone
What makes this deal even more exciting is that it’s not the first venture the two companies have set out on together. In fact, there are all kinds of notable events and offerings that this partnership has provided since 2018.
These big events include: operating the biggest retail sportsbook in the country in East Rutherford, N.J., the FanDuel Retail sportsbook being launched in eight states, offering over 200 IGT PlaySports self-kiosks across the country, launching an online sportsbook option in five different states, and more.
It’s clear that these two giants in the industry not only work well together, but seem to find success in whatever venture they participate in.
Enrico Drago, IGT PlayDigital Senior Vice President, publicly stated that this partnership provides new opportunities that bring higher levels of success for each company.
With more and more states moving to legalize sports betting, FanDuel is strategically looking to open up sportsbooks in just about all of these states.
The highly successful partnership with IGT will continue to serve as the foundation for FanDuel’s expansion throughout the country making FanDuel one of the most recognizable brands for sports betting and daily fantasy sports in the United States.
