Pick: Christopher Bell

Odds: +125

$100 Could Win You…$225

On March 28th, the NASCAR Cup Series heads to Bristol Motor Speedway for the first of two races at this short track. However, this weekend’s race will be unlike any other Bristol race in over 50 years.

Sunday’s Food City Dirt Race will take place on a dirt track as the Speedway has covered their ½ mile concrete track with dirt. It’s going to be an exciting race due to the challenge of driving on dirt and the fact that most of the field has little experience in dirt racing.

One driver that has a prolific dirt racing background is Christopher Bell who drives for Joe Gibbs Racing. Not only has he already won in the Cup Series this season, but he also has a solid chance at winning this weekend as well.

Christopher Bell’s Food City Dirt Race Betting Odds

  • To Win (+550)
  • Top 5 (+125)
  • Top 10 (-215)

Bell enters this weekend’s event as the second highest favorite just behind Kyle Larson at +250 odds. When taking that into consideration, it makes his Top 5 and Top 10 finish betting odds more appealing. Furthermore, when you factor in his dirt track background, Bell is a solid option this Sunday.

NASCAR Dirt Track Experience

Bell came up racing through the dirt track circuits. He has dozens of dirt track wins on his resume and has captured many big dirt race checkered flags like winning the Chili Bowl Nationals three years in a row.

This weekend’s race is suited for Bell’s racing background as he will be one of the best drivers on Sunday.

Bell’s 2021 Season So far

For Bell, he’s pretty much a lock to make the Playoffs this year as he has already snagged a checkered flag on the season. In six races, he has one win, one Top 5, three Top 10s and a 12.3 average finish.

Bell currently sits 9th in the driver standings and 7th in Playoff Points. I expect the #20 car to improve on those standings after this weekend’s event.

Finishing in the Top 5

For a young driver, and the low man on the totem pole at Joe Gibbs Racing, he has actually outperformed some of his more popular teammates over the early portion of this season.

NASCAR Bet: Christopher Bell Top 5 Finish (+125)

With a win already, the team will look to become a viable Playoff threat by making the proper adjustments on their cars each week, preparing for future tracks, and by going for more wins. One of those victories could come this weekend.

Considering that Bell is a Top 10 driver on the season, along with a strong dirt track background, the #20 car is a great choice to finish in the Top 5. His +125 odds at race betting websites offer great value as well.
