On Sunday, April 25th, NASCAR’s Cup Series will head to Talladega for the exciting GEICO 500 race and present fans with valuable betting opportunities this weekend.
Elliott comes into this weekend’s event sitting 7th in the standings with three Top 5s, four Top 10s and one stage win on the season. Last weekend in the Toyota Owners 400 from Richmond, Elliott was only able to muster up a 12th place finish. That result snapped two straight races of finishing in the Top 10.
Furthermore, he’s the only Hendrick Motorsports driver that hasn’t won on the season. Elliott’s teammate Alex Bowman won last weekend. Hendrick drivers William Byron and Kyle Larson have also won on the season.
It’s clear that the reigning Cup Series champion has not found his elite form. Can the #9 car find his groove this weekend in Talladega and contend for the checkered flag?
So how do you think Chase Elliott is doing being the only Team Hendrick driver without a win so far this seaso…nevermind forget I said anything #NASCAR pic.twitter.com/Q8HjUCnnV8

GEICO 500 Betting Odds for Chase Elliott
- To Win (+1100)
- Top 3 (+325)
- Top 5 (+200)
- Top 10 (-120)
Chase Elliott comes into the GEICO 500 as one of the five highest odds on favorites to win the race, according to most NASCAR betting sites. All of his betting odds offer value especially his Top 10 wager at -120.
Experience at Talladega
In 10 career starts at Talladega Superspeedway, Elliott has one win, four Top 5s, and five Top 10s with a 14.9 average finish and three DNFs.
Elliott crashed in the 2020 GEICO 500 and finished 38th. He bounced back to score a 5th place result in the fall Talladega race.

Elliott won the GEICO 500 in 2019 and was 3rd in 2018. He also has a 5th place result in the 2016 edition of this race.
Take Elliott to Finish in Top 10
Although oddsmakers have Elliott as the 5th best odds on favorite to win the GEICO 500, I believe the #9 car is a better bet to finish in the Top 10 than taking the checkered flag.
Pick: Chase Elliott
Odds: -120
$100 Could Win You…$183.33
Elliott has a 50% rate of finishing in the Top 10 at Talladega including three Top 8 results in the last four races. On the season, he has four Top 10s in nine races including two in the last three events. Even with his wreck last year, Elliott still has a 13.0 average finish in the last three GEICO 500 races. For his career, Elliott has a 15.5 average finish in the spring Talladega race.
This average could’ve been better if he didn’t score two of his three DNFs in the 2017 and 2020 GEICO 500 races. With that in mind, Elliott has a solid shot at finishing in the Top 10 this weekend and offers great value at -120.
