The Green Bay Packers head to the NFC Championship title game on Sunday as four-point betting favorites over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. According to online sportsbook BetOnline, the Packers are also the slight -190 odds on favorite at the Moneyline, with the Packers coming back at +165 in the early betting market.
The Green Bay Packers is the NFC’s top seed and will be hosting the conference championship at Lambeau Field for the first time since Brett Favre’s final NFL season in 2007. The Packers have not played in the Super Bowl since winning it in 2010. On the other hand, the Buccaneers are heading to the conference title game for the first time since 2002 when the team won Super Bowl XXXVII and only the fourth time ever.
Seven Straight Wins
Green Bay scored in every quarter of last Saturday’s 32-18 divisional-round win over the Los Angeles Rams. The Packers tore apart the Rams’ league-leading defense with 484 yards of total offense and a total of 28 first downs, the most allowed by L.A.’s defense this year.

QB Aaron Rodgers threw for 296 passing yards with two passing touchdowns while adding a rushing score. Davante Adams caught 9 passes for 66 yards with a touchdown but it was Allen Lazard who had a big night with four catches for 96 yards including a 58-yard strike that iced the game.
That win marked the Packers’ seventh consecutive victory. Green Bay has not lost since a Week 11 defeat at the hands of the Indianapolis Colts. Their defense has held their last for opponents to under 20 points. The Packers held the Rams to just 244 total yards in the game and 2 for 9 in third down and fourth down plays.
Brady’s 14th Conference Championship Game
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the New Orleans Saints in their two regular season meetings. However, the Bucs won the game that mattered most and now they will advance to their 4th ever NFC title game. For QB Tom Brady however, this will mark his 14th Conference Championship game appearance and his 9th in the last 10 seasons.

Brady didn’t deliver the big-game playoff performance that we’re used to seeing from him but he did just enough on Sunday to punch a ticket to the conference finals. The six-time Super Bowl winner also had two passing touchdowns and one rushing score against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. But it was Tampa Bay’s defense that won the game for them.
The Bucs forced the Saints to commit four turnovers, including three interceptions by Drew Brees. Brady and the offense converted three of those takeaways to touchdowns including a one-yard QB sneak from Brady that put the game away. Their staunch defense held the Saints to only 294 total yards and held New Orleans scoreless in the final 20 minutes of the game.
No. 12 vs No. 12
The quarterback matchup features two of the best to ever do it and both wear the no. 12 jerseys. Tom Brady is the NFL’s all-time leader in passing TDs with 581 and is second in passing yards at 79,204. He also has the7th best career passer rating at 97.3 and of course has his six Super Bowl rings. Rodgers meanwhile is third overall in career passer rating at 103.0, 7th in passing TDs with 412, and 11th in passing yards with 51,245.

Rodgers has a 2-3 record in five career starts against Tampa Bay. He has eight passing TDs and 9 interceptions in those games. Brady meanwhile has six starts against Green Bay and is 4-2 in those games with 12 TDs and only three interceptions.
