Internationally recognized gambling brands from Sweden, Austria, Belgium and the UK have confirmed their participation in the ICE London and European Casino Association (ECA) Summer Symposium, which is set to debut on Wednesday, July 13 at Les Ambassadeurs Club in Mayfair, London.
The inaugural in-person Symposium is being held in order to share insight on the key operator issues and requirements ahead of the 2023 edition of ICE London, which on its traditional February dates expects to welcome back all of the major land-based sector suppliers to the ICE show floor after a number of withdrawals from this year’s special April edition.
A joint statement issued by Stuart Hunter, Managing Director, Clarion Gaming; and European Casino Association Chairman Per Jaldung, confirmed: “We are looking forward to welcoming dozens of the casino industry’s most influential CEOs and leaders to Les Ambassadeurs on 13 July. We developed the concept of a Summer Symposium in order to provide an environment in which the industry could continue the process of planning for ICE London 2023.”
“We are sure that the C-Level discussions at the Symposium will play an important role in helping to fashion and inspire the future of the casino industry as we focus on consolidating the post-pandemic recovery and meet the challenges of the economic pressures impacting Europe. ICE London is pivotal to the industry and it is therefore of the utmost importance that we maximise the unique opportunities that it generates,” they added.
The Symposium, which will bring operators and suppliers together in a “relaxed environment,” is adopting the Open Space model, a format driven by participants and as a consequence reflects their current needs, pain-points and opportunities. By creating the agenda, participants can ensure their questions are presented, solutions offered and opinions are exchanged, organizers explained. The output will also be used to direct the vision for ICE London in terms of content, product mix, customer experience and networking.
The 2023 edition of ICE London will take place across 7-9 February and is expected to match the physical size of the pre-pandemic 2020 edition with over 90% of stand space booked seven months in advance of the show opening.
