I’m A Celeb 2020 will be a series like no other as Ant and Dec and this year’s campmates swap the Australian jungle for the chilly Welsh countryside.
Gwrych Castle in Abergele plays host to a unique series thanks to COVID-19 travel restrictions.
The likes of Shane Richie, Beverley Callard and Mo Farah will battle it out to emerge as the first King or Queen of the Castle when the show kicks off on Sunday 15th November.
Here’s a look at the favourites to emerge as this year’s winner.

Radio 1 presenter Jordan North has a love for Burnley and Guinness, so a trip to a haunted Welsh castle might just be a slight culture shock for him. He’ll be hoping his loyal listeners can help him take the crown. Naturally funny, North is certainly one to watch this series.
Shane Richie @ 7/2
It’s bizarre to think that Richie has never appeared on I’m A Celebrity before, as the ultimate ‘cheeky chappy’ seems a natural fit for this series. Best known for his role as Alfie Moon in EastEnders and a whole back catalogue of ropey game shows, he’s a born entertainer who could lift spirits in the soggy Welsh countryside.
Giovanna Fletcher @ 71/20
Parenting guru Giovanna Fletcher will swap books for bats this November as the children’s author enters the Castle. She looks to be the calming presence in this year’s series; expect her to play mediator should any campfire arguments break out.
Sir Mo Farah @ 51/10
Undoubtedly the biggest name in this year’s line up is Sir Mo Farah.
He has four Olympic gold medals to his name, but will he be able to bring his track success to the castle? This mini break could be the distraction he needs before refocusing on the re-scheduled 10,000m in Tokyo next summer. His first foray into celebrity telly ended in success, with Farah winning £250,000 for charity on The Cube back in 2009.
Vernon Kay @ 119/20
The former All-Star Family Fortunes host is the ultimate family-friendly entertaining, and he will be battling for ratings against wife Tess Daly, who is currently hosting BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. Kay is a likeable figure and his easy-going nature should keep campmates onside.
AJ Pritchard @ 21/2
Strictly Come Dancing professional AJ follows his brother Curtis onto the reality TV circuit, with his sibling appearing on Love Island in 2018. Expect AJ’s fancy footwork to come in handy on some of the more physical Bushtucker trials expected to feature in this series, given snakes and spiders will be in short supply in Abergele.
Jessica Plummer @ 47/4
Eastenders actress Jessica Plummer has openly admitted that she is afraid of ‘pretty much everything’ – so you can guarantee she’ll get heaps of airtime in the early stages of this year’s series. Former female residents of Albert Square have an excellent record in this competition, with Jacquelina Jossa (Lauren Branning) winning last year and Charlie Brooks (Janine Butcher) winning in 2012.
Hollie Arnold @ 20/1
Arnold will be looking to defend her Paralympic F46 javelin title at Tokyo in 2021, but for now the only gold that matters is the crown of Queen of the Castle. As an inspiration to many, she’ll be keen to show none of ITV’s fiendish trials can phase her. Expect Arnold’s competitive streak to come to the fore if, as per usual, this year’s contenders are split into two teams to win meals for their respective camps.
Beverley Callard @ 20/1
From the Corrie cobbles to the castle courtyard, Coronation Street’s Liz McDonald looks an intriguing booking for this year’s series. An iconic character for over 30 years on the ITV soap, she’ll be almost unrecognisable without some form of leopard print clothing. As a typical telly matriarch, Callard could be the natural contender to club heads together if arguments break out in camp.
Victoria Derbyshire @ 40/1
BAFTA-winning broadcast journalist Derbyshire finally gets the chance to indulge in the lighter side of entertainment as she heads into the world of reality TV.
The TV and radio host is a long shot for the crown, but her interview style hints she could be one tough cookie. Derbyshire looks unlikely to be thrown by anything Ant and Dec have planned for her, but will her forthright opinions stir up the tensions around the campfire?
