Konami Gaming announced Tuesday that it has completed the launch of its SYNKROS casino management system across all 11 ships in Holland America Line’s fleet. The brand has now become the first in Carnival Corporation’s portfolio to receive the CMS.
Under the new system, guests will be able to enjoy “an array of top gaming services that optimize the slot machine experience,” says Konami. In addition to cashless wagering, players now have quick access to more information about their play, including seeing points earned, and the ability to easily redeem any promotions or offers.
Moreover, through the deployment of SYNKROS, Holland America Line’s guests can now also take part in on-demand slot tournaments, prize drawings and floor-wide bonus events, to be powered by Konami’s casino system.
“The SYNKROS system – known as SURF (Serving Up Rewards and Fun) – offers exciting new features that personalize slot machine play and improves the experience for our guests who enjoy the casino,” said Marty Goldman, senior vice president, global casino operations, Carnival Corporation.
According to the executive, with the completion of the system installation across the fleet, Holland America Line ships are now “leading the way” among Carnival Corporation’s portfolio of brands to deploy “this exciting new system.”

Konami’s SYNKROS was selected as the official gaming enterprise management system of Carnival Corporation in 2018. The companies currently are implementing the system across the 90+ ship portfolio, spanning nine cruise brands.

Konami is set to present the latest developments for its SYNKROS CMS, along with novelties in slot machine gaming, at the upcoming edition of G2E Las Vegas. Ahead of the major gaming industry event, Yogonet spoke with Eduardo Aching, Vice President of International Gaming Operations at Konami Gaming.
“Konami will stand out at G2E 2022 for a large mix of proven product options, from the industry’s #1 top-performing core portrait / portrait slant cabinet to charting-topping content,” Aching said. “Our focus is on connecting with customers and giving them a chance to try the latest innovations first-hand.
