he Covid-19 breakout during last year has thrown the sports and sports betting industries into turmoil, suspending all major worldwide sporting events for over two months. The sudden halt has brought down overall sports data coverage by 70%, hurting both operators and suppliers.

“We quickly realized that there’s much more we can offer to our customers,” said LSports CEO and co-founder, Dotan Lazar. “During the past 12 months, the company has greatly enhanced its coverage, ensuring that the bookmakers had and will continue to have sufficient alternatives to the popular sports.”

The sports data provider said that they have registered an increase of over 90% in its coverage growth when compared data from beginning of 2020 versus 2021. It was said that one of the main reasons for that was their new and growing eSports feed which now covers over 15 popular games.

Another action the company took was adding their special bets feed. The feed covers sports and subjects like bowling, weather, TV & novelty, politics, and lottery. With the lack of popular sports, the new addition quickly turned bettors to new options. Seeing its popularity, LSports has also added chess, netball, hurling, and sumo and have also increased their alpine sports, outright sports, and table tennis.

Now, the company offers one of the widest coverage in the business, standing on a monthly average of 125,000 pre-match and 65,000 in-play events across more than 60 different sports, offering over 2,000 markets. It recently released its new STM product – a fully automated sports trading management system allowing to create and generate unique and accurate fair value odds.

Lazar said: “We’re constantly adding new sports, events, leagues, and markets to our coverage. LSports had always prided itself on being at the forefront of technology and thanks to our data and our new STM product, I believe that we are.”
