Macau’s casinos generated MOP$22.61 billion (US$2.80 billion) in gross gaming revenue (GGR) in March, up 15% from the same month last year, according to the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ).
The March figure also represented a 9.8% rise from February, when GGR stood at MOP$20.6 billion (US$2.56 billion), though it was slightly below January’s MOP$22.63 billion (US$2.80 billion), the Inside Asian Gaming reported.
Analysts had anticipated continued GGR strength in March, boosted by favorable year-on-year comparisons and a strong post-Chinese New Year period.
Macau’s total GGR reached MOP$65.9 billion (US$8.16 billion) in the first quarter of 2026, up 14.3% year-on-year.
