Week 11 of the NFL season is officially in the books. We’ve got a fun Thanksgiving Day NFL slate on tap for Thursday, but how can we pass the 48 hours between now and then? BetOnline has four odds boosters posted on this Tuesday, three of which are futures bets.
The main sports action today will happen on the pitch. The MLS Cup Playoffs continue with three games, while Champions League play is back in action this afternoon. Without further ado, let’s get right into BetOnline’s boosted odds for Tuesday.
NCAAF: Alabama to Win NCAA Title (+250)
As of this writing, BetOnline has Alabama as a fairly heavy +125 favorite to win this season’s championship. The Crimson Tide haven’t missed a beat with Mac Jones having taken over under center for Tua Tagovailoa. Bama is off to a perfect 7-0 start, and they haven’t had a single game decided by single-digits, either. Their closest margin of victory came in their 63-48 win over Ole Miss back in the third game of the season.
The Tide have two games left on the schedule.
They’ll face Auburn in the Iron Bowl this weekend before a trip to Arkansas on December 5. Getting past the Tigers is never an easy endeavor in one of the nation’s oldest rivalry games, but Alabama is favored by over three touchdowns in this one (-24). At this point, it’s hard to imagine Nick Saban’s squad not finishing the season undefeated.
Getting through the playoff won’t be a breeze, but Alabama will still likely be favored against any team they face. Notre Dame, Clemson, and Ohio State are all worthy opponents, but the +250 odds you’re getting with this boost are pretty appealing. No team has given Bama much of a sweat so far this season.
MLB: Braves or White Sox to Win 2021 World Series (+900)
The Braves just made one of the first big moves of baseball’s dormant free agency period. Atlanta signed veteran starter Charlie Morton to a one-year deal. The 37-year-old will slot into what could be a loaded Braves rotation that already features Max Fried, Ian Anderson, Drew Smyly, and Mike Soroka.
The Braves came to within a game of advancing to the World Series this past season, but they were ultimately unable to close the deal. Atlanta took a 3-1 series lead over the Dodgers, only to eventually let it slip away. Getting past the Dodgers again in 2021 is going to be the tallest task for a Braves team in search of its first World Series title since the mid-1990s. Atlanta has the third-best odds of any team to win the National League (+700), with the fifth-best odds to win it all (+1200).
Charlie Morton is in agreement on a one-year, $15 million deal with Atlanta, sources tell ESPN. He’s headed back to the team that drafted him in 2002 — and gets the same money that Tampa Bay turned down when it declined its club option last months. @Feinsand had details first.

The White Sox are one of baseball’s brightest up-and-coming teams. The decision to hire Tony La Russa as manager comes with plenty of question marks, but there may well be too much talent here for La Russa to ruin. Chicago made a playoff appearance this past season, but they wound up falling to the A’s in the Wild Card round.
With so many young stars on the roster, the White Sox should only get better from here. Chicago has the third-best odds to win the American League pennant (+650) behind the Yankees and the Rays, along with the sixth-best World Series odds (+1400).
Tennis: Novak Djokovic to Win 2021 Australian Open (+200)
Novak Djokovic is the best men’s tennis player in the world, so it’s not too surprising to see that he has absolutely dominated the Australian Open over the last decade. Djokovic has eight Australian Open titles to his name, including four of the last six overall. Djokovic has won back-to-back trips to Melbourne, and he’ll be looking for his third straight title in January.
BetOnline has the Djoker as an even-money favorite to win the Aussie Open, followed by Rafael Nadal (+550). Roger Federer, Danil Medvedev, and Dominic Thiem check-in at +600 apiece.
Djokovic has had a fairly rough 2020 by his standards, after contracting the virus earlier this year and being disqualified from the US Open earlier this summer. He was also beaten by Thiem in the semifinal of the ATP World Tour Finals over the weekend.
Still, it’s easy to see why Djokovic is the betting favorite ahead of the first Grand Slam of 2021. He has dominated Melbourne Park over the years. Assuming he’s able to bounce back from his lackluster 2020, it’s hard to bet against Djokovic in any major tournament.
MLS: Philadelphia and Toronto BOTH to Win (+500)
Toronto FC will take on Nashville in what should be a fun one. Nashville had no problem with an undermanned Inter Miami last week, earning an easy 3-0 win in their first-ever playoff game. Now, Nashville will take on the Eastern Conference No. 2 seed, Toronto, in Hartford.
TFC has dealt with plenty of injuries all season long, but this is still one of the best and most experienced teams in all of MLS. Toronto has been a steady title threat for the past half-decade, while Nashville is emerging as something of a Cinderella story. The Reds are +120 favorites on the moneyline, while Nashville is down at +250. This will be the first meeting between the clubs since 2018, back when Nashville was a member of the USL.

The Philadelphia Union will host New England in another Eastern Conference playoff clash Tuesday night. Philly is a +110 moneyline favorite at home, with New England down at +235. Philadelphia actually beat the Revolution 2-0 in the final game of the regular season to clinch the Supporters’ Shield earlier this month. The Revs got past Montreal by a 2-1 margin in the first round of the playoffs late last week.
These two teams have squared off five times already this season, and the Revs are still looking for their first win. The Union won four of the five games, along with a scoreless draw back in August.
What’s The Best Bet?
You’ll have to wait to cash some of these considering we’re dealing with futures. My least-favorite bet on the board is either the Braves or White Sox to win next year’s World Series. The 2021 World Series is the Dodgers’ to lose at this point. We’ll see what the reigning World Series champions do with their roster this offseason, but at this point it’s hard to have too much faith in any team other than LA to rise all the way to the top. I’d pass on the MLB futures bet here at +900. The odds should be longer, honestly.
Djokovic and Alabama look like good bets because they’re always good bets.
Djokovic has won the Australian Open more than any other men’s player ever. He is 8-0 when making it to the finals, as well. Alabama is in the National Championship picture seemingly every year, and nothing we have seen from the Tide so far this season leads us to believe they’re anything other than the clear-cut favorites. Djokovic (+200) and Alabama (+250) are both excellent value options, if you don’t mind waiting a little longer for those bets to cash.
If you want your payday sooner, though, go ahead and stake a shot on tonight’s MLS Cup Playoff results. Nashville is a nice story, but they’ll be hard-pressed to go into Hartford and pick up a playoff win over a battle-tested Toronto side. I also expect Philadelphia to continue its dominance over a New England club it has already beaten four times in five tries so far this season. Both Toronto and Philly to win tonight at +500 is the best value on the board.
