We’re halfway through the first stage of the new Call of Duty League season. LA Thieves are on top of group A; Atlanta Faze are on top of group B. Both groups are still neck and neck as far as middle-of-the-pack teams go. Our OpTic vs. Ultra betting tips are here to reflect on a match that’ll decide a lot of stuff in group B.
Hope you got your snacks over the weekend: #CDL2021 Super Week is upon us!

You see, both OpTic Chicago and Toronto Ultra have one win and one defeat thus far. The Chicago team are up front because they’ve outclassed Paris Legion 3:0 and have a better rounds’ difference. However, there are still three matches to be played for each of them, meaning lots of chances to mix things up a bit.

OpTic vs. Ultra Betting Picks
In the remainder of our OpTic vs. Ultra predictions, we’re going to get to the bottom of this contest!
Obviously, OpTic are the favorites coming into this one, but let’s try to figure out if Toronto Ultra stand a chance against the Green Wall?
Form
If we’re looking at just this competition, both teams are on level terms. Both have a win and a loss. But, as I’ve said earlier, OpTic has a much better map ratio. Plus, they’ve just narrowly (3:2) lost to Atlanta Faze which are at the top of the group with three wins. Scump and the boys put up a much better performance than Toronto Ultra, that’s for sure! Plus, they were really convincing against Paris Legion in the opening round.
Roster Quality
We still have a few things to cover before finishing with our OpTic vs. Ultra betting predictions! Unfortunately, the latest head-to-head matches don’t give us a lot of valuable info. They’ve split the wins 1:1 on CDL Toronto and Minnesota.
Roster quality is of crucial importance too, so let’s take a closer look!
Needless to say, OpTic takes the win in this department. They’re one of the most dangerous teams in the region, capable of going up against the best of them… though they’re yet to find proper rhythm. Two wins and thus far in 2021, and I’m confident they’re going to extend that to three and one on Thursday.
Wrapping Things Up
Even though it might seem like the only real difference between these two is one extra map OpTic won in their loss against Atlanta Faze, there’s much more to this matchup! OpTic are, alongside Atlanta Faze, the best team in the mix. And while Toronto Ultra do have major aspirations, they’re bound to get swept aside by the Chicago team.
A straightforward match-winner on OpTic won’t get you far, though it’s a fair bet at -333. However, I fancy OpTic taking this either 3:0 or 3:1. We’re not going to see a full five-maps thriller here, that’s for sure. Scump and the OpTic fellas will be making it rain out there…
