sports organization DarkZero announced on August 6 an agreement with Resorts World Las Vegas for a “first-of-its kind” partnership. Through this alliance, Resorts World Las Vegas will exclusively host DarkZero’s athletes, partners and industry figures.
This new partnership is an ambitious step for Resorts World Las Vegas, which opened June 24, becoming the first resort built on the Las Vegas Strip in more than a decade. It features 117,000 square feet of gaming space including 1,400 slots, 117 table games, a dedicated poker room and 30 poker tables, as well as high-limit areas and a sportsbook.
Genting’s $4.3B Resorts World is the first entirely cashless casino and the most expensive one ever developed in the city. Other partnerships so far include Konami Gaming, Sightline, NRT Technology, Genesis and IGT, with the aim of transforming it into “Las Vegas’ most technologically advanced casino.”
“This partnership with Resorts World Las Vegas will unlock access to world class amenities for everyone under our brand, as well as current and future partners. DarkZero will remain committed to becoming an impactful and influential organization within the Las Vegas community,” said DarkZero CEO Zach Matula.

As part of the agreement, DarkZero will offer “VIP experiences” for Resorts World Las Vegas to use like “Play with a Pro”, an experiential opportunity to play one-on-one “with some of the world’s best gamers.”
Moreover, resorts guests who want to try their hand at esports will have the opportunity to learn from DarkZero’s gamers “in the comfort of their rooms” or by heading to the DZHQ, a compound located outside the strip.
Besides these features, the resort’s logo will appear on team jerseys, the homepage and across the organization’s and players’ social media channels.
“We are thrilled to join forces with Las Vegas’ premier resort and entertainment destination. The health and wellness of our players and staff is at the center of everything we do, and Resorts World Las Vegas offers a variety of unique opportunities to get away and recharge,” added Tommy Padula, Head of Partnerships at DarkZero.
According to the press statement announcing the partnership, both entities will work to further consolidate Las Vegas’ status as the “Entertainment Capital of the World” by attracting the increasing esports and online gaming audiences.
