Racing Tips – 17th July – ITV Racing
Here are our racing tips for today’s ITV races….
NEWBURY
13:50 – Movin Time – 11/2 >>
Followed up win in a Newmarket maiden with a fifth-place finish in the Hampton Court at Royal Ascot. Didn’t get the best of runs in that race and open to further improvement here.
14:25 – Zeeband – 5/2 >>
Improving stayer, most recently winning the Northumberland Vase last month in comfortable fashion. Favourites chance in this race.
15:00 – King’s Lynn – 13/5 >>
Ran decent races in both the King’s Stand and Wokingham at Royal Ascot last month, despite finding trouble in running in both races. A smaller field should ensure a clear run and a return to winning ways here.
15:40 – Delmona – 9/1 EW >>
Newbury’s feature race has twenty-two 2-year-olds in a five-furlong sprint. Delmona followed up her debut win with a credible fifth in a listed race at Goodwood. Big step-up again here, but with a high draw may benefit from a clear run.

MARKET RASEN
14:05 – Voice of Calm – 15/2 >>
Taken well to hurdling, winning two of her four races to date. Tom Bellamy retains the ride after a comfortable victory at Cartmel at the end of May.
14:40 – Fire Away – 9/1 >>
Won five from seven attempts since moving to L J Morgan’s yard earlier this year, both over hurdles and chases. Reverts to the larger obstacles again here and won’t be far away at the finish.
15: 10 – Taste The Fear – 9/2 >>
Consistent sort, with a win and close second (when hampered) last month. Teaming up with regular partner, Sam Twiston-Davies, will be hoping to put the frights up his opponents here.

CURRAGH (IRISH OAKS)
15:25 – Snowfall to beat Nicest – Straight Forecast
Snowfall cannot be opposed after winning the Epsom Oaks by a staggering 16 lengths, but will be a very short price to take the Irish equivalent. Nicest may well be her nearest challenger after a good third in the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot, and can take second spot for forecast bettors.
Odds correct at time of writing but may be subject to change.
