Seattle vs Buffalo NFL Game Preview
These two teams have played against each other 13 total times with Seattle holding an 8 to 5 advantage. Their last meeting was in 2016 and the Seahawks won 31-25. Seattle has won three of the last five meetings overall. Buffalo is 2-2 in home games against the Seahawks.
- The Seattle Seahawks (6-1) is coming off a solid divisional win over the 49ers after suffering their first loss of the season in Week 7 to the Cardinals. Russell Wilson is on pace to break season records and to become the 2020 NFL MVP. Can Wilson and this offense continue their torrid pace on the road in Buffalo?
- The Buffalo Bills (6-2) have exorcised one of their biggest demons by beating the Patriots last weekend. After many years of being the younger sibling to the Patriots and losing 90% of their head to head matchups, Buffalo finally beat New England at home for the first time since 2011.
The Bills have a two game lead in the AFC East and look to get their biggest win of the season by taking down the NFC’s top ranked Seahawks. Will Buffalo extend their winning streak to three in a row?

Free NFL Sports Bet and Game Prediction: Over 54 points (-115)
These two teams are loaded with star players on both sides of the ball and they match up really well against each other on paper.
The key matchups that will determine the winner of this exciting game are each team’s passing attack versus the opposing pass defense.
Seattle has one of the best passing attacks in the league as they average 307.3 ypg. Wilson has already thrown for 2,151 yards and 26 TDs to just 6 INTs. He’s on an MVP pace and looks to add to those numbers in Buffalo this week.
The Bills secondary is giving up 236.1 passing ypg, but that number is a bit misleading since the defense is allowing 134.5 rushing ypg. We could see Buffalo employ a similar zone defense that they did against the Chiefs which saw them get gashed on the ground.
On the flip side, Seattle’s pass defense is the worst in the league as they allow 366.4 ypg. Buffalo’s passing attack is averaging 274.3 ypg as Josh Allen actually has more passing yards than Wilson with 2,172 yards and 16 TDs to 5 INTs. However, Buffalo has played one more game than Seattle so far.
Don’t play Lil Baby around the Bills 😂

Another factor in the success of each team’s pass defense is that these teams don’t get enough pressure on opposing QBs. So, this game will come down to whichever team gets more pressure on the quarterback and can slow down the opposing passing attack.
With that said, I’m having a hard time picking an outright winner or choosing the spread option. Thankfully, the Over/Under is the best choice this weekend between these two divisional leaders.
On the season, Seattle is leading the league in scoring at 34.3ppg while Buffalo is averaging 24.8ppg. That’s a combined 59.1ppg. Seattle is giving up 28.4ppg and Buffalo is allowing 24.9ppg. That’s a combined 53.3ppg.
The Over has gone 9-0 in the last nine head to head meetings between these two teams. For Seattle, the Over is 6-2 in their last eight overall games. For Buffalo, the Over is 6-2 in their last eight games as well and 6-0 in their last six NFC West matchups.
I believe we’re going to get a high scoring game this Sunday unless the weather turns bad by then. Currently, the weather is forecasted to be “normal” for this time of the year in Buffalo. Rain and snow are not expected.
Look for Wilson and Allen to light up the scoreboards. I believe Buffalo has the better secondary and a slight advantage in their front four than the Seahawks do. Turnovers will be a deciding factor as both teams look like they will score on almost every possession.
Take the Over for this game as I see these teams combining for 60+ points.
Since we have to pick a winner, I am leaning towards Buffalo edging out Seattle 31 to 30 in fantastic Week 9 matchup.
