Dignitas and Team Spirit played two clean opening round matches and find themselves just two steps away from the BLAST Premier Spring Finals. The first is their h2h contest scheduled for Friday. Our Spirit vs Dignitas predictions are here early, so you can double-check our insight and do additional pre-bet research.
Dignitas were, after OG, the biggest surprise of the opening round. The Swedish machinery swept Liquid away in what seemed like a routine clash for them. Spirit had a blast against Extra Salt too, but Dignitas reached their win from the position of a heavy underdog.

Despite their upset against Liquid, Dignitas are set to be underdogs once again. All CSGO bookmakers favor Spirit with anywhere from -240 to -270 bets. While I do understand why Spirit has a good track record coming here, I still think the margins should be a lot narrower.
But, we’re not going to jump to any conclusions right away! Spirit vs Dignitas predictions require a more detailed approach… which is exactly what follow:
Spirit vs Dignitas Betting Predictions
Let’s start off with head-to-head clashes! These two teams did have one, but it dates all the way back to 2016. Yep, it was during the ELEAGUE Major Atlanta offline qualifiers and Dignitas took Spirit down on Mirage. Of course, that match is totally irrelevant for our Spirit vs Dignitas picks… but it’s a fun fact, right?
Moving onto things that actually matter here, let’s talk about form. Obviously, both teams started this campaign with a win, but how well did they play earlier this month?
Since the start of April, Dignitas played eleven matches; eight wins and three defeats. Spirit played just two matches, losing to Gambit on Pinnacle Cup, and winning that opening-round match against Extra Salt. If we go further back, though, we’ll notice Spirit’s Winstrike CIS Cup Spring and DH Open January titles, coupled with a semifinal finish on IEM XV World Championship. The latter is the reason why bookies favor Team Spirit here… but I for one value cold hard form and momentum more than two months old campaigns!
Map Depth
Team Spirit’s map pool is off the charts! They are superior on every map except their permaban (Vertigo) and Overpass… and let’s just say the difference on Overpass isn’t all that substantial. Worst of all, Spirit played against much better teams too…
Is there a chance for Dignitas to somehow not get the worst out of the banning phase? Well, we’ve seen them demolish Liquid on Nuke, T side and everything, meaning they’re likely going to contest it. Vertigo ought to get banned right away, meaning mir and the boys will have to go for Overpass…
In the end, we have to point Team Spirit as the winner in the map pool department. But, we aren’t done with our Spirit vs Dignitas betting stuff just yet. We need more info!
Individual Qualities
It’s tough to call this one because both sets of players are known to be absolutely superb once they get rolling. Mir and degster are in fine form, but so are HEAP and Lekr0. The snowball potential is real, and I am referring to both teams when I say that. There’s just no separating these two in terms of raw individual talent. Experience, though, should favor Dignitas… not saying it’s solely because of f0rest, but we all know it is!
Wrapping Things Up
That’d be all, folks! Let’s wrap this piece up with the good stuff:
$100 Could Win You…$275
What’s the main question coming into this match – it’s whether or not Dignitas will put on a show as they did against Team Liquid.
If they can, if HEAP and Lekr0 can rise up to the occasion one more time, I see no reason why they couldn’t reach the final round here and go up against the better of OG vs G2. The stage is perfectly set for Dignitas to rise from the ashes and do something noteworthy after so many disappointing runs.
We knew they were tricky coming into the opening round… but now that we’ve seen the leisure they play with, we just have to give them the benefit of the doubt! At +175, I really dig the value here. So yeah, long story short – that’s what I’m going with here!
That’s all for today, ladies and gentlemen! Odds have been courtesy of BetOnline. Check out our BetOnline review here. We’re looking forward to the second round of matches… hopefully we’ll continue with our winning ways!
