There’s roughly twelve hours before the start of the opening-round DH Masters Spring event, and my oh my, the number of thrilling clashes is through the roof. Our Spirit vs. G2 predictions ought to be the finest one, though the likes of Astralis vs. Extra Salt and Faze vs. Virtus.pro ought to spark lots of controversy too.

Several teams are coming into this event with strict imperatives of winning or reaching close to that. NaVi, Vitality, and G2 are just some of the teams that have been nothing but struggling recently. But, we know what we’re here for so why don’t we jump straight to the action and see which way should your CSGO betting slips go!
Spirit vs. G2 Betting Predictions
Spirit played against G2 roughly two weeks ago. Yep, these two competed on BLAST Premier Showdown and G2 took the win. They played three maps: Mirage, Dust 2, and Nuke. G2 won the match with a reverse sweep following a 16:6 loss on Mirage.
But, as we mentioned in our guide for betting on DreamHack Masters Spring 2021, the event kicks off with bo1 contests meaning a bo3 comparison might not be the ideal solution here. So, with that in mind, let’s go to the next section of our Spirit vs. G2 predictions, in hope that we’ll find more valuable info there.
Recent Results
G2 players should feel great about themselves coming into the opening round clash vs. Spirit. They are coming off a successful IEM XVI Summer qualifier campaign. Having cemented their spot in the Finals, G2 can now focus on DH Masters Spring, test their limits, and see how far they can go.
Team Spirit, however, is not to be taken for granted. They had a mixture of solid results this year, ranking from wins on DH Open January and Winstrike CIS Cups Spring, to semifinal finishes on IEM XV World Championship, Pinnacle Cup, and BLAST Premier Spring Showdown. But, their last competitive match was a loss against G2… and I have a feeling history could repeat cometh the opener tomorrow.
Map Depth
There’s not much we can say about the map pool stats of these two. Even if there was, it wouldn’t mean a whole lot for Spirit vs. G2 predictions as we are talking about a bo1 clash here. If you’re new to the whole CSGO betting thingy, you should know the extra risk involved with bo1 clashes.
Online bo3s are becoming more and more upset-friendly with each passing event, but they still don’t come close to online bo1s such as this one. If you’re ready for a thrilling contest that could truly go either way, then it’s as if our Spirit vs. G2 picks were made specifically for you!
Individual Qualities
What about individual prowess? Which of these two sets of players is poised with superior individuals? This is an ungrateful topic, but one we must unravel if we are to reach valuable Spirit vs. G2 tips! So, what’s the deal here?
On one end, we have NiKo, nexa and huNter who, when in form, can deal with anything and anyone. But, 2021 just hasn’t been their year thus far. They had their ups and downs, with the latter taking over the majority of their gameplay. But, I feel like it’s time for a change of pace! G2 are coming here with an impressive performance on the closed IEM XVI Summer qualifier. If Niko and the Balkan fellowship can transition their gameplay from that event, surely they’ll be able to fend off mir, degster and the CIS boys.
Spirit vs. G2 Pick
$100 Could Win You…$210.00
Believe it or not G2 are the underdogs here. Yep, who would’ve thought just a few months ago that G2 would be labeled as the underdogs in a match against Team Spirit… Yep, NiKo’s arrival didn’t really change things in G2 for the better.
But, we should see the Balkan-powered team swing past Team Spirit just like they have two weeks ago on BLAST Premier Spring Showdown. NiKo and the boys are obviously the better team, and they should be able to prove it tomorrow. Their last h2h triumph combined with a great performance on IEM XVI closed qualifier should secure G2’s win. Fingers crossed it does!
Until next time, may the odds be in your favor!
