After taking the Easter weekend off, NASCAR’s Cup Series returns to the track with the Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500 live from Martinsville Speedway on Saturday, April 10th. This race will be under the lights and is the epitome of short track racing.

NASCAR betting sites have released numerous prop bets for this Martinsville race. Let’s take a look at some of the more popular prop bets for this weekend’s race and make some checkered flag winning predictions.

The following NASCAR prop bets are courtesy of Bovada and other excellent online sportsbooks:

Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500 Driver Matchups

In order to win these prop bets, you must pick which driver that you think will finish higher:

Kyle Busch (-115) vs Kyle Larson (-115)

In this battle of Kyles, Larson is beating Busch head to head on the season. He has more wins, more Top 5s, more Top 10s, a better average finish and sits higher in the standings than Busch does.

However, at Martinsville, it’s Kyle Busch that has the advantage and it’s not even close.

Busch has two wins, 16 Top 5s, 18 Top 10s and a 12.2 average finish in 31 starts. Larson has one Top 5, two Top 10s, and a 22.4 average finish. In fact, Larson has one of the worst average finishes of all the fulltime Cup Series drivers.

If we just compare Busch’s last 12 Martinsville races to Larson’s 12 career starts at this track, the picture is even more bleak for Larson.

Over that span, Busch has two wins, eight Top 5s, and nine Top 10s. His worst result during that stretch was 19th. Larson has finished 19th or worse in half of his appearances at Martinsville.

Take Busch to beat Larson on Saturday night.

Best Group Finish

  • Austin Dillon (+225)
  • Ryan Newman (+225)
  • Daniel Suarez (+250)
  • Chris Beuscher (+325)

On the season, Dillon has performed better than the other drivers in this group. He currently sits 11th overall in the standings. The other three drivers sit 17th through 20th.

However, at Martinsville, there’s one driver in this group that’s performed much better than the others. Let’s start by a process of elimination.

Chris Buescher has a 21.5 average finish with zero wins, zero Top 5s, and zero Top 10s. He also crashed out of the fall race last year.

Suarez has the same 21.5 average finish as Buescher, but he does have two Top 10s at this track in his career.

Dillon’s 19.9 average finish is slightly better than the other two, but he only has two Top 5s and two Top 10s in 14 starts. He didn’t finish this race last year.

That brings us to Ryan Newman. In 38 starts at this track, Newman has one win, eight Top 5s, 17 Top 10s and a 14.8 average finish. He has more wins, more Top 5s, and more Top 10s than the other three drivers of this group combined.

I think Newman is a sneaky pick for a Top 10 result this Saturday night, which will be higher than the other three drivers.

Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500 Car Prop Bets

Car Number of Race Winner

  • Even (-125)
  • Odd (-105)

I really like the Odd option for this race and there are two reasons why. First, these odds are juicy with great value.

Second, I think the race winner will come from one of these odd numbered cars: Larson (5), Elliott (9), Hamlin (11), and Truex Jr. (19). I’m picking Elliott to win the race, but it could easily be Truex or Hamlin.

Car Number of Race Winner –Odd (-105)

Car Number of Race Winner

  • Over 11.5 (-125)
  • Under 11.5 (-105)

This one is slightly tougher, but I do like the Under 11.5 option for this prop bet.

The drivers Under 11.5 include: Keselowski (2), Harvick (4), Larson (5), Elliott (9), and Hamlin (11). I believe Elliott, Keselowski and Hamlin will all finish in the Top 5. Elliott and Keselowski have won two of the last four races at this track.

Car Number of Race Winner –Under 11.5 (-105)

Manufacturer of Race Winner

  • Ford (+150)
  • Toyota (+180)
  • Chevrolet (+190)

I picked Elliott to win the race and he drives a Chevy. But, I believe this prop bet is a good opportunity to hedge our wager on the race winner.

Although Chevy won the fall Martinsville race, it hasn’t won the spring Bristol race since 2014. Ford and Toyota each have three wins apiece since Chevy’s last victory.

It’s tough choosing between these two manufacturers because they both have a trio of drivers that could win this race or finish in the Top 5.

With that said, I am leaning towards Ford for this prop bet. We have Keselowski, Blaney, and Logano who are in the Top 6 betting favorites for this week. They also dominated in last year’s spring Martinsville race despite not winning. Additionally, Kevin Harvick drives a Ford.

Ford has won this race three of the last four years.

Team of Race Winner

  • Joe Gibbs Racing (+190)
  • Team Penske (+215)
  • Hendrick Motor Sports (+285)
  • Stewart-Haas Racing (+900)
  • Any Other Team (+1400)
  • Chip Ganassi Racing (+2500)
  • Richard Childress racing (+3300)
  • Roush Fenway Racing (+5000)
  • JTG Daughtery Racing (+6600)

Joe Gibbs Racing is the odds on favorite for this weekend’s race, but I like Team Penske for this prop bet. Once again, this is another opportunity to hedge our bets with our wager on the race winner.

I give the edge to Team Penske over JGR due to Keselowski, Logano and Blaney performing better than Truex, Hamlin and Busch at this track the last few years.

Keselowski has won two of the last four spring Martinsville races and Blaney was 2nd last year when Truex won. Logano was 4th last year in this race. And, if that weren’t enough to convince you, Keselowski was 3rd in this race last year. All three Team Penske drivers finished right behind Truex.
