Despite a raging pandemic, officials have been able to arrange an amazing situation to play the 2020 WSOP Main Event. To pull this off they have set up an online-live hybrid for both domestic and international play.
In America, the tourney will take place on the WSOP.com website for players in New Jersey or Nevada. A single Day 1 flight will take place on December 13th, with Day 2 the following Monday until there is a final table of nine.
International play will happen at the GGPoker site and start November 29th, then continue on December 5th through 6th. Surviving players will play down to a final table on December 7th.
Both tournament will have the exact same structure, and players can only play in one of the events. In the US the final table will play out live at the Rio Casino in Las Vegas on December 28th,finalists w and International players will play in the Czech Republic on December 15th.
