On Sunday, February 21st, the WWE will be live on PPV for their annual Elimination Chamber event. This will be the 11th installment of the Elimination Chamber and it features multiple world title matches.

This will also be the last event to air on the WWE Network as the streaming service will switch over to the Peacock in the very near future.

Like with most of WWE’s PPV events these days, the card is still in flux. We’ll take a look at the matches that are booked and other bouts that could be added to the lineup by Sunday.

WWE betting sites have released their odds for the portion of the Elimination Card that has been confirmed. Let’s step through the ring ropes, strut around the squared circle, and make some championship winning predictions.

This article was written and published before the February 19th episode of SmackDown.

United States Triple Threat Title Match

  • Bobby Lashley (-175)
  • Keith Lee (+165)
  • Matt Riddle (+400)

Matt Riddle and Bobby Lashley have been feuding with each other since December. Riddle had defeated Lashley in a non-title match, which earned him a shot at the belt. But, he would lose against Lashley for the title.

Riddle would receive a second title opportunity after beating the rest of Lashley’s teammates The Hurt Business in a gauntlet match. Yet, he failed to get the title despite winning via DQ.

Lee entered the equation through a promo with Riddle where he said that it’s time for someone else to step up and challenge Lashley.

Lee would beat Riddle in a match which brought out Lashley who attacked both men. That set up this triple threat contest at Elimination Chamber.

Lashley has been on a tear since the Royal Rumble and I expect that to continue. He’s really building up momentum heading into WrestleMania and could become a legitimate contender for the WWE title by summer time at this pace.

With that said, I don’t see the WWE taking the belt off of him. Having a triple threat match protects all parties involved. I see Riddle ending up taking the loss in the match. But, for this wager, take Lashley to walk out of the PPV still carrying the title.

On a side note, make sure you keep an eye on this match at online betting sites moving forward. The latest news is that Lee is banged up and could potentially be out of action for the PPV.

RAW Elimination Chamber Match

  • Drew McIntyre (-200)
  • Sheamus (+250)
  • AJ Styles (+600)
  • Randy Orton (+700)
  • Kofi Kingston (+4000)
  • Jeff Hardy (+5000)

On the February 8th episode of RAW, WWE officials stated that McIntyre would have to defend the world title against five former world champs inside the Elimination Chamber. Those former champs are: Styles, Sheamus, Orton, Kingston and Hardy.

The Miz was going to be in this match, but decided to remove himself with the hopes of getting his partner John Morrison into the bout. However, it ended up opening the door for Kingston to enter this match after he beat The Miz for the final spot.

The Miz is teasing that he will cash in his MITB briefcase against the winner of this match.

On the latest episode of RAW, Sheamus won a gauntlet match that allows him to be the last man to enter the Elimination Chamber match.

Let’s look at this seriously. There’s no way that the WWE will remove the title off of McIntyre this close to WrestleMania.

Out of all the participants in this match, other than McIntyre, Sheamus is the one who is getting the push the most, which the WWE is doing to try and provide a credible foe for McIntyre.

However, it won’t matter. McIntyre is the face of RAW and he will carry the belt into WrestleMania where we still don’t know who his WM opponent will be.

SmackDown Elimination Chamber Match

  • Kevin Owens (-125)
  • Cesaro (+150)
  • Daniel Bryan (+450)
  • Jey Uso(+1000)
  • Baron Corbin (+5000)
  • Sami Zayn (+5000)

Owens and Uso were the first two participants to be booked for this match. The other four wrestlers had to win qualification matches to be in this Elimination Chamber bout.

Unlike the RAW match where the winner will capture the WWE title, the winner of this match will then have to go on to face Roman Reigns later in the show.

Paul Heyman found some wiggle room to get Reigns out of this EC match. Instead of being one of the six participants, he just has to defend his title against the winner which puts him at a big advantage over whoever wins this match.

With that in mind, Kevin Owens has to be the pick here. The two men have been feuding since December and have put on some very entertaining matchups at the last two PPV events.

A third match would finish off their rivalry and allow Reigns to turn his attention towards WrestleMania where he’s rumored to face Edge.

Zayn, Corbin, and Uso are just warm bodies to make this match more entertaining. Bryan and Cesaro are legitimate choices to win, but I just don’t see the WWE using them in a one-off match against Reigns later in the PPV.

For this wager, take Kevin Owens to win.

Roman Reigns vs SmackDown EC Winner

Regardless of who Reigns faces later in the show, there’s no doubt that he won’t win. Reigns is on track to be in the main event of WrestleMania as he’s the company’s top star right now.

With a rumored match versus Edge set for Mania, Reigns will steamroll whomever he ends up facing at Elimination Chamber. That’s why a match versus Owens makes sense because he can be the sacrificial lamb one more time.

Other Potential Elimination Chamber PPV Matches

As of now, those are the only three matches with betting odds. Yet, there’s a growing buzz that the following matchups could take place this Sunday:

RAW Women’s Title Match

  • Lacey Evans vs Asuka(c)

There was some confusion earlier this week regarding the news that Lacey Evans is pregnant. Some thought it was a storyline, which it is to a degree but the WWE star really is pregnant according to most WWE news sites.

— WWE (@WWE) February 16, 2021

The WWE learned of Lacey’s pregnancy the day of RAW and rewrote the show to have her make the announcement and to carry on the storyline that she has going with Ric Flair. We could be treated to some hilarious promos with Ric Flair as the storyline father.

Evans will not be competing in this match against Asuka at Elimination Chamber and the WWE will have to decide who to replace her with. Right now, there’s no official word who the WWE is leaning towards.

Whomever it is, I doubt they will win because Asuka seems likely to keep the title until WrestleMania where she will most likely lose to someone like Charlotte Flair.

Intercontinental Championship

  • Big E(c)
  • Apollo Crews

These two have been feuding for some time now with Big E coming out the winner just about every time they wrestle.

It appears that the WWE could be leaning towards another match for these two wrestlers despite the obvious outcome of Big E winning again.

However, that’s what the WWE does best. They ride a boring storyline until the wheels falls off and the vehicle goes of a storyline cliff.

Intercontinental Championship –Big E

SmackDown Women’s Championship

  • Sasha Banks(c)
  • Carmella

Just like with the Intercontinental match, the same boring WWE booking applies to this bout as well. The two women have been feuding for a while and there’s nobody else for Sasha Banks to take on until she faces Bianca Belair at WM.

So, we have another match between Banks and Carmella that will end with Sasha winning.

SmackDown Women’s Championship –Sasha Banks

SmackDown Tag Team Championship

  • Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler(c)
  • The Street Profits

Roode returned to the WWE and rejoined with his partner Dolph Ziggler to upset the Street Profits for the SmacDown tag titles last month. Since then, the former champs have been angling for a rematch and that should happen this weekend.

Even so, I expect Roode and Ziggler to keep the belts a little longer. Perhaps we get a different team step up and dethrone them or the WWE decides to have the Street Profits win the belts back at WrestleMania.
