5 CSGO Teams to Bet on in 2021

5-csgo-teams-to-bet-on-in-2021

It’s that time of the year again, boys and girls! It’s time for new beginnings, new stories, new top 5 lists. Several teams popped up in 2020; teams like Heroic, BIG, and FURIA went down in history books as some of the biggest upsets in the game’s history. Guessing which teams will make a major breakthrough is what CSGO betting dreams are all about… and that’s exactly what we’re going to talk about here.

What kind of a top-five list is this?

Well, it’s a list of five CSGO teams with great potential in 2021; a list of five teams that should provide plenty of value betting-wise. They’re not necessarily the best teams out there, but they should be competitive enough to snatch more than enough top-tier scalps.

Best CSGO Teams in 2021 – Betting Predictions

As stated earlier, this is not a list of the 5 best CSGO teams in 2020. For that list, please refer to HLTV.org’s official rankings. That said, let’s kick things off:

G2 Esports

This has to be the year of G2 Esports! They should be able to figure stuff out before the start of BLAST Premier Global Finals… If they manage, I wouldn’t be surprised if they start 2021 with a proper bang! Why am I so optimistic? Haven’t you heard – G2 signed NiKo in what was the biggest transfer in the history of CSGO.

What did G2 accomplish last year?

Well, unfortunately, they haven’t won a single event. Truth be told, they had a couple of close calls but ultimately failed to win a single title. It was a pretty lackluster performance, now that we can sum the entire 2020 up. I’m sure we’ll see better things from G2 this year.

I mean, come on – NiKo is in the starting lineup now, that has to mean something. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been bashing NiKo’s Faze Clan all these years… but the man is a talent! The man is a raw talent with a pristine eye for kills… there’s no way he goes on another lackluster streak with his new team. G2 has to step up this year – they have to be among the best CSGO teams in 2021, that’s for sure!

Virtus.pro

If CSGO betting in 2021 is what you’re here for, then Virtus.pro should definitely be among your go-to teams this year! I know, I know, Virtus.pro hasn’t been that good in 2020. Don’t get me wrong, but they were practically invisible until the BLAST Premier CIS Cup. Even though they failed to reach the main stage, that cup was still the event that marked the start of better things for the CIS side.

Then, a couple of months later another boom happened – Virtus.pro won IEM XV New York CIS and qualified for the second season of Flashpoint. Obviously, winning the latter was VP’s highest point of 2020, scoring an unbelievable $500,000 in prize money and going down in history books. To make the story even better, Virtus.pro won another event just a week after their Flashpoint triumph.

What made VP such a force to be reckoned with in the second half of 2020? Well, I’ll dare to say the fantastic chain of events was started by YEKINDAR’s arrival into the starting lineup. The 21-year-old Latvian talent that can play as a rifling entry fragger as well as a go-to AWPer brought much-needed change to Virtus.pro and helped them reach astonishing results. If he can continue in the same fashion in 2021, I’m positive we’ll see more of Virtus.pro on top-tier events!

FURIA

Our list of the best CSGO teams in 2021 you should consider betting on cannot end without FURIA. Yep, the fiery Brazilians didn’t just have a splendid 2020, everyone expects them to one-up themselves and have an even better 2021. Can they make it happen? Well, looking back at some of their best displays last year, I honestly think they’ll continue from where they left off last year!

FURIA was one of the biggest esports betting upsets in 2020. The Brazilians took Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid off the NA pedestal and asserted their dominance against NA’s best time in and time out. They were absolutely phenomenal last year… Unfortunately, though, they failed to bring more of the same to the old continent…

FURIA’s yuurih and KSCERATO have to be pointed out as the biggest contributors. Their performances were the ones that pushed FURIA to greatness in North America. However, 2021 will be a lot tougher because we’re expecting the return of LAN events. If that really does happen (and everything suggests it will), yuurih and KSCERATO will have a lot more on their plate than last year. Still, I’m confident they’ll step up for the occasion!

Team Liquid

Team Liquid players will want to forget 2020 as quickly as possible. Well, everything but the very start and the very end of the year, to be more precise. A quick reminder – the boys in blue have won ESL Pro League S11 NA and came very close to winning another event on several occasions. The most notable one was definitely IEM XV Global Challenge when they finally rose up to the occasion at an international event. Unfortunately (for them), The Great Danes dismantled them in the grand finals with a quick and easy 3:0.

However, Liquid still haven’t found their fifth man and it’s been quite a while already since Twistzz’s departure. We’re all wondering who that player might be. We’ve seen them mix and mash things with Grim, which makes me wonder if they’re going to stick with another NA player or look for European talents to perhaps pose a bigger threat on 2021 international events.

No matter what they opt for, I’m sure Liquid is going to be one of the silent assassins next year. With EliGE, NAF, and Stewie2K still in the starting roster, this Team Liquid team won’t be a pushover. The only question remains – can the fifth player bring them the much-needed boost ahead of competitive 2021?

OG

Finally, let’s wrap this section of our teams to bet on in 2021 piece with OG! Yep, OG of all teams has found its way onto this list. How come… I mean, after all, their 2020 was pretty lackluster in terms of silverware.

Well, sure… OG has failed to win a single event last year, but I can’t say that’s surprising considering the fact they were still a relatively fresh team. On the bright side, they went through several outstanding campaigns that almost saw them go all the way through. I’m primarily referring to IEM XV New York and Flashpoint S2; OG played in the grand finals of both events.

Don’t even bother to ask.

2020 was 1280 x 960.

2021 will be 1920 x 1080. #DreamOG

Who were the main players for OG in 2020 and can they transition their expertise to 2021 too? Well, mantuu was the most consistent player in this OG roster, although valde has to be pointed out as another valuable asset too, especially near the end of the year when the Danish talent started strutting his stuff.

As far as the team’s ability to transition to 2021, I reckon they got everything they need to win one or two events this year. They’re a year more experienced, they know how to play off each other, and they sure as heck won’t have grand finals’ stage fright anymore!

Wrapping Things Up

Well, I guess that’s all for today folks! It’s been a pleasure guiding you through the five best CSGO teams to bet on in 2021. Hopefully, at least one of the teams we’ve listed will pop off and help us reach the green sooner rather than later.

With those words, I’d like to wrap this one up.

Thanks for sticking around and reading the whole piece!
