Just days away from Ontario’s iGaming market launch, set for Monday, April 4, two new companies confirmed their entry. Aspire Global’s Pariplay and Gambling.com Group Limited announced their footprint expansion in North America through the new iGaming regulated jurisdiction.

Pariplay said Thursday it was awarded the Gaming-Related Supplier License, which allows the company to offer aggregation services throughout the Canadian province through its Pariplay Fusion platform.

The provider also announced it intends to go live with a number of major operators and partners in the province as soon as the market opens. The company has recently gone commercially live in Alberta, and it was also awarded its West Virginia and Michigan licenses after debuting in the US in the state of New Jersey over a year ago.

On Friday, Gambling.com confirmed it will begin providing marketing services for licensed online sports betting and iGaming operators in Ontario. In anticipation to the launch of regulated online sports betting and iGaming in the province, Gambling.com had already launched OntarioBets.com in November, a free-to-use website that allows consumers in Ontario to compare legal online sportsbooks and casinos and provides trusted, comprehensive and up-to-date information on online gambling in the jurisdiction.

The Group also stands ready to help Ontario licensed online gambling operators acquire players with its national and international websites including Bookies, Gambling.com, RotoWire and Bonus.ca.

In an official press release, Adrian Bailey, Managing Director at Pariplay, said: “We are very pleased to be granted our Ontario license, which allows us to build on our success and bringing relevant and varied content to regulated markets. We’ve made a concerted effort to grow our reach in Canada both through signing new partners and gaining new licenses, and this approach continues to generate success for us. It is an exciting time at Pariplay and we can’t wait to get started in Ontario.”

CEO of Gambling.com Group, Charles Gillespie, added: “The launch of regulated online sports betting and iGaming is a major milestone and achievement of Ontario’s gaming industry. The province is taking the right approach by keeping the barriers to entry low and allowing a variety of operators to enter the market. This will foster competition and ultimately benefit consumers as the operators with the best products rise to the top. Gambling.com Group is well positioned to help operators and customers succeed in this new and exciting market.”

Caroline Smart, Vice President at Gambling.com Group, concluded: “It is thrilling to have a market open date for Ontario, marking the first licensed sports betting and online casino market in Canada. After many years of only having one legal option through the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, the robust offerings in the Ontario marketplace will ensure there is a lot of choice and opportunity for customers. With passionate sports fans and some of the most storied NHL franchises, we believe that Ontario will quickly become one of the largest markets in North America and Gambling.com Group is prepared to help consumers navigate their new world of options.”
