Arizona’s Desert Diamond Casinos West Valley announced Thursday plans to sell the contents of its former interim casino in a public auction. The Glendale gaming venue first opened its doors in December 2015 as a 49,000-square-foot transitory property just east of the 101 freeway and Northern Ave until the current casino opened. Churchill Downs announced Thursday that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Ellis Park Racing & Gaming in Henderson, Kentucky, from Enchantment Holdings, an affiliate of Laguna Development Corporation, for a total consideration of $79 million in cash.
