In a decision in the county’s lawsuit over changes to the casino payment in-lieu-of-taxes legislation, New Jersey Superior Court Judge Michael Blee has ordered the state to make an immediate payment of $2.36 million to Atlantic County, and more substantial future payments. However, the state on Monday asked Blee for a stay pending Appellate Court review, which would prevent the state from having to make the payment this week, and two payments of about $5.6 million on August 15 and November 15. Casino developer and operator Full House Resorts announced Tuesday results for the second quarter of 2022. Revenues were at $44.4 million, a decrease from $47.4 million in the prior-year period. Additionally, the company posted a net loss of $4.4 million, which includes $1.6 million of preopening and development costs. International Game Technology (IGT) announced Tuesday its financial results for the second quarter of 2022, showing revenue of $1.2 billion, a 2% decrease compared to the same period in 2021. Revenue was driven by Global Gaming product sales, a segment that grew by 23%.  However, the business also reported a second-quarter net loss of $4 million, after reporting a profit of $306 million in the same period a year earlier. Bettors at Melbourne Crown Casino will fall under the Victorian Government’s new reforms in Australia, which require them to pre-commit to losses and time spent on poker machines.
