Victoria’s gambling regulator is set to launch disciplinary action against Australian gaming giant Crown Resorts, the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission announced on Tuesday. U.S. commercial gaming revenue continued its record-shattering start in 2022 with the highest-grossing February on record. It was driven by the continued growth of slot revenue and sustained strength of sports betting and iGaming, according to the American Gaming Association’s (AGA) Commercial Gaming Revenue Tracker, updated Tuesday. In February, combined commercial gaming revenue from land-based casino games, sports betting and internet gaming reached $4.39 billion, up 16.1% from February 2020—the last full pre-pandemic month of casino operations—and up 35.9% from a year ago. Independent gaming certification lab BMM Testlabs is set to open a new office and product testing laboratory in Slovenia in May 2022, the company announced on Monday. The new location will feature former management and senior testers of the Slovenian Institute of Quality and Metrology (SIQ) gaming lab. The casino located in the Grand Emperor Hotel, in downtown Macau, is set to cease its operations on June 26, Emperor Entertainment Hotel Limited announced in a stock filing last Friday.
