U.S. consumers spent $147 billion on gambling activities in 2021, well above 2019 and 2020 levels, according to a report published Friday by independent research firm Eilers & Krejcik Gaming. iGaming technology company Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has signed an agreement with existing partner GM Gaming Limited in Portugal. GM Gaming operates the Betway sportsbook brand in the European country. STS Holding revealed on Monday that it has received a PLN 13.3 million ($3.1 million) dividend related to the performance of tech subsidiary Betsys. The dividend was paid in March to STS SA, a subsidiary of STS Holding SA: the companies are part of the STS Group, one of the largest bookmakers in Central Europe and a leader in the Polish market. DraftKings’ $1.56 billion acquisition of Golden Nugget Online Gaming is nearing its completion. The sports betting giant now expects to close its deal with Tilman Fertitta’s business by the end of next month, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission last Friday. “DraftKings and GNOG continue to pursue the remaining gaming regulatory approvals necessary to consummate the acquisition,” the filing reads. “Accordingly, DraftKings now expects the acquisition to be consummated on or prior to May 31, 2022, subject to the satisfaction or waiver of closing conditions.” The millionaire all-stock transaction was initially announced in August last year.…

FanDuel Group announced Monday it has reached a first-of-its-kind multi-year agreement with TSN (The Sports Network) to introduce its sportsbook to Canadian sports fans. Bally’s Corporation and Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. (GLPI), a publicly-traded gaming focused real estate investment trust, have completed the previously announced acquisition from Bally’s of the land and real estate assets of Bally’s three Black Hawk Casinos in Colorado, and Bally’s Quad Cities Casino & Hotel in Rock Island, Illinois, for $150 million in total consideration.
